I have a zodiac lm3 24 chlorinator. When it changes polarity every 2nd time the no flow light comes on and the output of chlorine stops ( fixed orange light at output). When the polarity changes again it is ok. The chlorine is only being produced from one pole. There is water flow over the cell but no chlorine. I have only replaced the cell about 18 months ago. I manually change the polarity but same thing happens so I think it may be the PCB power board. Any ideas?

SOURCE: Zodiac LM3 24S won't turn ON

Two Things come to mind, the board, or it could be that the life of the cell has expired.

Zodiac lm3

The lm series chlorine generator has a tri-sensor inside the cell that measures flow, water temp, and salt level in pool. If the controller is indicating no flow after it has been cleaned properly, then the cell is most likely in need of replacement.

Can't adjust the chlorine output level of Zodiac LM3-15

Nost often it just needs to be cleaned. Calcium build up can clean in a tub of 1 Part muratic acid to 5 parts warter. or a 2 to 1 soultion of vinigar and water, otherwise it could be faulty. Cleaning typically works.

I have a Zodiac LM Chlorinator, just bought the house a month ago. Appeared to be working fine. Pool store said to add salt (although add salt light not on). We did not add any at that time. We had a short...

If the cell is clean check your flow switch. Take a water sample to your pool store to check your salt leavel again also have them check your stablizer or cynuraic acid it should be between 50-80 ppm to control the chloriene that you produce. If this runs to the top of the scale 99ppm at most Leslies stores have them dilute your sample by half and try again. If that runs to high it will stop the chloriene from working. Also always be sure your filter is clean.

Salt light flashing added salt light went to orange no longer flashing but no chlorine lights will light has been 29 hours

All salt generators need at least 4-5000 parts per million for up to 30 days for the generators to re-generate salt. it takes chlorine to combined with the generator and salt to regenerate salt. Salt generators do not make salt from water that is not chlorinated first.
Try This and you will re gererate chlorine.
