Wireless Headphone not working with my portable DVD player

I have just purchased a set of Infrared wireless stero headphones for my DVD player that we typically take in the car. Both are infrared based but I can get anything but an occasional static blurb on the headphones. They seem pretty straight forward - directions weren't even included with the headphones, but I must be missing something! I tried turning on the headphones first and then the TV but they still don't sinc. Any suggestions?

Firstly, make sure your DVD have built-in IR wireless module so that your headphone can receive the audio signal from your DVD player.

Second, it should be clear which frequency transmitted from your DVD player. Generally speaking, there are two frequency of IR transmitter. One is 2.3MHz/2.8MHz. another is 3.2MHz/3.87MHz. Only emission frequency same as receiver can receive the audio signal.

how do you change the frequency if needed? My headphones worked for months (as long as batteries were replaced when necessary) and now they won't. The kids may have changed frequency playing with it, but I am not sure if it can be changed.

LG SMART TV NO BLUETOOTH HOW DO I HOOK UP STERO WIRELESS HEAD PHONES NO JACKS ON TV EX OPTIAL HDMI

Depends which wireless headphones you have. Most headphones do not use WiFi, they use Bluetooth or 2.4 MHz RF. Usually a wireless headphone set will have a transmitter plus the headphones. The transmitter usually connects to the TV either with the analog L+R ouputs or the stereo headphone jack.

Sylvania wireless headphones

Instructions
1
Set up the transmitter. Wireless headphones rely on a transmitter that sends audio via infrared or radio waves to your headset. Use the digital audio output (coaxial or optical), RCA outputs (red and white) or headphone jack on your TV to connect the transmitter. The connection will depend upon which outputs are available on your TV and/or the transmitter.
2
Use an RCA-to-headphone adapter. If you don't have a headphone jack on your TV and the transmitter includes only a headphone connection, connect an RCA-to-female headphone connector. This will allow you to plug the wireless transmitter into the female headphone end and then hook the RCA ends into your television's audio outputs. You may also need a 3.5 mm (mini jack)-to-1/4-inch adapter if the headphone plug on the transmitter doesn't match the television jack.

3
Set the transmitter on top of, or next to, the television. For infrared transmitters, you'll need a direct path between the headphones and the transmitter. Placing the transmitter on or near the TV will allow you to take advantage of the clear path you already have.
4
Plug in the transmitter and turn it on. Charge the headphones if necessary.
5
Turn on the headphones. Adjust the volume and settings and you're ready to watch TV.

Bought a set of wireless headphones but they only have a small headphone jack (size of Ipod headphones) to connect the transmitter to dvd player. How do I connect?

Get an adapter to convert whatever stereo plug you have to whatever stereo jack you want it to mate with. I imagine the wireless headphone documentation discusses that.

Just bought a used toyoya and it has a drive mobile entertainment system dvd player in it. I can't get the headphones to work

Okay first of all im going to assume you are using wireless headphones. If thats the case make sure your overhead will operate wireless hphones. If you can see some hidden leds it does go to menu on your unit and make sure the infrared headphone is turned on.

Wireless infrared stereo headphone no sound

You do not need to tune anything. Both transmitter (in your DVD player) and headphone operate at the same frequency.

The only thing I could think of is to check your DVD player's menu to make sure the transmitter is activated. And make sure you maintain line of sight between headphone and transmitter.

But rather then me guessing since you did not provide the model numbers of your products, why don't you contact XO Vision's customer service as listed on their website: http://www.xovision.com/contactus.php

Good luck.
