Re: my wife says that the muteki 7.2 chanel does not need...
You can turn off the 7.2 channel surround sound system if you only want to listen to audio on the TV channels, you may need to increase the volume levels on the TV. Use the 7.2 channel surround sound when you want surround sound when playing DVD movies.

Hi Antonio, disconnect all the speakers and test if you continue to make the fault
If you continue, you have a problem with the audio output or the power supply
If it does not follow, check all the speaker cables and go connecting one at a time and tests, so with each and every one
I hope you can solve the problem

Sony Muteki with USB Fail message or turning on and off is generally related to a faulty mains input relay. Search for it in the schematic and replace with a stronger part. Sony uses a very weak relay to connect the mains after power button is pressed. It doesn't last too much.
I brought a second hand muteki 7.2 system but only got the av receiver STR-KM7600 does anyone know how I can jerry rig the subs to work through the receiver.

Hi,
She only needs the separate login id to access the information and to share the information. So it is not mandatory to purchase the app again. If you and wife needs to access information at the same time, then you need of apps for her. Else with your app, she can login and "share" inputs.
Sincerely,
Thiyaga
My subwoofer recently burnt out because I had it plugged into a different amplifier.. I wouldn't recommend it. Sony has released the sub to suit that system.. Do keep in mind that I did have bass boost on with the sub up full (Which didn't matter when I had it connected to the Sony amplifier..).
Proceed with caution.. I would recommend turning the sub down and using the sub volume control on the amplifiers settings to change the volume.. Just do not run it at a pace where it looks like it is stressing.. When I say stressing I mean, looking like it is going to jump out of the enclosure..
