HP Deskjet 3845

My printer is not quite 2 yrs old and has been working fine until I replaced the color cartridge. Now it prints for about 10 seconds, pauses, prints another 10 seconds, pauses, keeps doing this until the page is finished. I have no idea why it is doing this now. Any help will be appreciated. I went through all the troubleshooting steps but none of them solved the problem.

Sounds like the color cartridge is overheating. Could be defective, ESPECIALLY if it not an original Hp BRAND NEW cartridge. Change out the color cartridge and see what happens. Each tiny little nozzle has its own heating element. Electronics monitor the temperature. Will stop the printing until the temperature comes back to an acceptable range. Ed

HP Deskjet 3845 printing in blue yellow and green but no red. Print cartridges are new.

Check your cartridges. HP cannot guarantee the quality of remanufactured or refilled cartridges. Also make sure that the expiry date of the color ink is not reached. You should find it written on the cartridge itself.

Have you check your color cartridge if they are properly installed.

Make sure your are not using a refill cartridge.

HP Deskjet 3845 Printer

Try uninstalling both printers and their software and then reinstall them, the 3845 first. See if you get the same results before installing the 2610.

My HP printer's light blinks, but it doesn't print.

two things to consider.
1. If the blinking is fast (like more than two blinks per second) then the printer is damaged. Either the main controller board is fried or the carriage/ink controller is damaged.
2. if the blinking is slow ( 1 blink per second) this means that either of your cartridges is busted. remove the black cartridge then close the top cover. If the blinking stops, then the black ink is the culprit. If not, replace the black then remove the other cartridge. THis means that one of your cartridge needs to be replaced.

Blinking power light

It could be the timing of the cartridge is out possibly from the belt.

It should be serviced by a technician.
