This can be caused by scale build-up on the thermostat probe that hangs inside the tank. The scale stays hot for a long time, tricking the thermostat into believing that the water is still hot. Try pouring 1 Qt white vinigar into the unit, let it warm up completely, run a pot of clear water thhrough the machine, then turn the unit upside down over a sink (making sure it's unplugged first, and always keeping the fill hole down at all times) to let it drain out all the way. Then before you plug it back in, pour water through the machine until water comes out the sprayhead. Then plug it in, let it heat up, pour 2 pots of water through the machine & see if it heats up properly. If this doesn't cure your problem, your unit may need to be completely dismantled to de-scale the tank & thermostat probe.

Cuisinart coffe maker does not allow water in

Common problem, it is hard water issue, these coffee makers do not handle even slightly hard water as deposits build up quickly blocking water flow to element. Try one of the many coffee pot cleaners, but if it is as bad as described, may not be enough to clean out coils.

Why does the plug loosen and my coffee is cold after pouring???

The problem is the keep warm element. The reason, your pot perc's and it gets hot near the thermo, the thermo turns off the main element. The keep warm element is not on so after a small amount of time the water cools and the thermo turns the main element back on again, thus making the water hot. The K W element is supposed to be on all the time the pot is plugged in, it is instrumental in perking the first brew making it really hot, the thermo turns off the main element and the K W element keeps the water hot. The K M element is very a easy fix, it is the small looking white rope that runs around the bottom of the pot. You have 1-nut and 1- screw to remove. When removing the screw from the main element you must hold the (leg) that the K M element is screwed to so it does not bend and brake off. Take your time and be firm with the pressure you apply to the screw, while holding it with a pliers Good luck. bobbyone

We have a GDM-26 commerical coke machine. Only

If any of your drinks are freezing you need to adjust your temp setting. The suggested setting is 5. changing the temp setting basically tells the refrigerator to stop cooling when the temp hits a low degree, and to start cooling when it hits a high degree. This keeps your drinks not to hot, not too cold, but just right. If this doesn't work I would change the cold control altogether, it might've went bad. If you have a few minutes, locate the condensor fan (bottom) and make sure it is periodically turning on and off like it should.

Coffe residue inside coffee pot

Add some automatic dishwasher detergent ( maybe 1/4 cup) and fill the rest of the pot up with very hot water. Swirl to combine. Let stand for a few hours. Use a bottle brush to scrub the pot. Or get some denture cleaner tablets and throw them into the pot with hot water. Let stand a few hours or overnight, then scrub with bottle brush. I've tried both methods on my coffee pot and both work great for me.

Bunn pour omtic 3 burner commerical coffe maker model 666L (pin # 658) Coffee maker will not brew red light comes on and flickers followed th set up insturctions still nothing, even put a pot of vinegar...

I'm going to presume that your brewer is a VPS series pour-over brewer. This problem can be caused by several things, so I'll list the most common ones.
1) The on/off switch for the lower warmer could be burnt out. This switch also operates the heating element.
2) The high limit thermostat quite offen blows on the older VPS brewers. this is a small unit held down to the top of the tank and has 2 wires voming to it.
3) Look for burnt-off wires. These models sometimes burn off wires on the top of the heating element.
4) If none of these work, then your problem will be your heating element itself.
Parts for these models are readily available from your local Bunn repair shop.

Bunn Coffee maker leaks

I called Bunn and they were not helpful at all! I wound up putting silicone (it is not hot enough here to matter) on it, and after it cured, it was great! We have been using it at the Office for almost a year with no problems. I just made sure I did not get any on the part that acts as the "valve."

Hamilton beach coffee maker Model 49464

Leave the carafe off the hot plate and place the basket in holder with the lip under hinged flange so it sits flat. Then replace the carafe and the basket should not move up when the Pause and Serve button opens. I just bought this pot too and
love it but except for the basket placement problem.

SCC 658 Runs way too hot

I bought mine about two years ago. Had the same experience as you did ... it is not working right for a slow cooker. After my first disaster with it, tried making something again and insuring it was filled all the way. Burned all the food again. Now it just takes space in my cabinet. I bought another slow cooker that just the basic 3 position knob, no electronics.
