SOURCE: Yamaha RX-V1200 subwoofer connection to Mirage BPS-150i subwoofer

just connect your subwoofer mono RCA to your amp sub single out rca connector. you do not need to megre all those 4terminals into one. in fact internal circuit of those 4rca are merging inside to one since the sub uses only a single amp. 4inputs was meant for sources with multiple sub out

SOURCE: Yamaha RX-V995 receiver turns on & then powers off 2 seconds late

I suggest you run self diag.  press [FM/AM] key + [Input mode] key and press the [power/standby] switch.

ps prt = power supply problem
dc prt = shorted output or leakly cap in channel
tmp prt means to hot on heatsink

you'll likely have to measure the resistances of the output FETs to find a short,

SOURCE: Yamaha rx-v456 av receiver, shut down with optica cable

Does it work without PS3 attached?
When receiver turns off, it is usually due to badly connected/configured speakers. Try powering on the receiver without speakers.

My RX- V673 Yamaha receiver won't turn on. I have power and the stand by switch is on

Try holding the 'tone control' and 'info' buttons and press power. This will unlock it if it is protect mode. If it turns back off right away, then you most likely have a problem in the amp circuit which needs to be repaired.

How to connect my JBL JRX 115 speaker to my Yamaha RX V673 receiver

You would use a standard banana plug to either a 1/4 phono or speakon plug. The JBL JRX 115 has both on the back. All the outputs on the Yamaha RX V673 have banana plugs. The channel you plug into would be up to you, there are many choices and they are listed on the back of the unit.

I.want.to.use.a.4.ohm.sub.woofer.with.my.satelite.8.ohms.can.i.do.this ?

I'm making an assumption: that you're using a powered subwoofer as required by this receiver.

Since the RX-V463's amplifiers don't drive the sub directly, and it supplies the sub's amp with only a Line Level signal, the impedance of the sub is irrelevant.

How to install klipsch sub woofer to yamaha reciever rx-v559. everything working properly but sub wont be adjusted with volume. i got my stuff moved out here but had a mate help me set up. didnt pull it...

Does the sub work at all? How is it hooked up? The sub needs to be fed by an RCA cable from the Subwoofer Output jack for the receiver to control its output.

I am trying to hook up a powered sub woofer to a yamaha rx-v461 and i dont know what cables go where on the back of the sub there are two speaker ports and there are two plug ins but each speaker port has...

Your subwoofer probably has both high-power inputs and "normal"low inputs. The first are for receivers, which don't have link-level output for sub, so they are able to take already amplified signal as input.
You need to use link-level input of your sub and connect it to subwoofer-output of your receiver. The output is marked as OUTPUT - Subwoofer and is black-color RCA plug (don't confuse with subwoofer INPUT under MULTI CH INPUT).
Receiver has only mono output for subwoofer. If your sub has stereo input (white/red RCA plugs), connect just the left channel to the receiver, it will still work.
Don't connect anything to the speaker output on the sub, you don't need that.

Yamaha rx-v661 unsolved speaker wiring error

1. Try running the auto setup without the sub. ( is it a powered sub {the sub has its own amp on the back} or is a NON powered sub that is driven off the speaker jacks of the Yamaha receiver. )

If the sub is powered, and connected to the Amp via the RCA cable from the " sub out " jack, chances are you either have a defective sub or a gound loop.

Good luck...Rob
