so if you want EDT then set it back one hour if the current time is 9am to make it 8am
that would make it EDT itme

Hey Malcolm, just bought this watch so I hope it is the same. Press the MODE button (bottom left) until you get AL. Then press the STAR/LAP (top left) this gives you the options of turning it off : ON with Alarm or ON with Alarm and CHM (I think this is the hourly chim) or OFF. (Located above the Quicksilver brand mark) Hope this helps! Carla
Just talked to Adidas. Manual is wrong on this watch type. To change time: press top-left button "set/light" and hold till "light off" appears. Then, hit bottom-left button "mode," toggling until you reach the hours/minutes/etc. Use top-right and bottom-right buttons to change numbers as needed. Hit top-left "set/light" button when finished.
It's most likely because of Daylight Saving Time. Your clock receives a signal through the air once a day from the actual atomic clock, much like a cell phone receives the time from your cell phone service provider, and it automatically resets itself to the exact time each time it receives this signal. Remember that the middle of the year (the second Sunday in March until the first Sunday in November in the US) is Daylight Saving Time for much of the United States. The clock has an option that allows you to set whether you are observing Daylight Saving Time or not. If this is set to "off", the time will be one hour behind until Daylight Saving Time ends (November 7th). Make sure this is set properly, and your problem will be solved.
mcdevito75 here, Sounds like your watch is showing a different time zone, refer to your owners manual or vist a locl jeweler for adjustment on timeing, setting your watch. Your watch may be set up to show different world time zones, if so, you may have hit a button and now your watch is showing time in a different time zone as an example London / New York.
You posted this in January, which is not during daylight savings time. The SMT setting doesn't turn on automatic DST switching for a particular timezone; rather, it is a manual override to adjust timezones to DST when it is actually active. There is no automatic DST adjustment for this watch (according to their FAQ). Turn SMT to OF for all timezones during winter months, and ON for applicable timezones during SuMmer Time (SMT).
