Will an RCA Digital Convertor work on Durabrands model #1304.?.

the digital is a fiber optic cable. if there is no light going through it the the tv will never let you select it.

Normally the software ( a micro cd) comes along with the go gear. If you have not reccieved it please check if the items had been misplaced. If not go to the Philips website searching for software for gear media convertor, download the file and install into your PC for converting all the files to be loaded into your gogear. I think there is the version idicated in the site against the compatable models. This should work alright. I hope this adivce helps you. Good day

use an RF convertor if the TV dosn't have a/v inputs these convertors work off of CH3 and are available at most electronis stores or Walmart.

Your set may have a choice of audio sources and outputs in the basic (initial) setup since it is not uncommon to mute the internal speakers and get your sound from a home theatre system or receiver. Also, if you are using S-video connectors between converter and set, there is no sound path, this is video only, and you will have to add a couple of cables, likely with RCA connectors, between the two.
For reference: Audio cables: Red=right channel, White=left.

I wonder if the RF interference from the digital tuner. That box will only allow ouput either through the coax or the AV ports. If you do both you will not get a picture.

If you switch them you have to tell the box what your using for output by going through the setup process.
