To set your phone so that it cannot make or receive phone calls, Direct Connect calls, Group Connect calls, Talkgroup Calls; or transfer data: 1 From the main menu, select Settings > Advanced > Airplane Mode. 2 Set this option to On. This icon U appears. Note: Pressing p for more than 5 seconds also turns on Airplane mode. To restore your phone?s ability to do all these things: Set this option to Off." Hope this helps :)

There don't seem to be any quick fixes out there.
Is the phone still under warranty?
Just had a thought - the hotkey for airplane mode sorry it pasted as "p" before - should say the one with a circle with a vertical line in it.
could that key be stuck in? possibly intermittently. that could possibly cause the symptoms you have.

My phone is going into this mode on it's own. I just want to get rid of this feature, it's redundant and not needed. If I get on a plane, I'll just shut my phone off.
