As far as I know that Sony DVP is sold region free.
But anyways try the procedure below for Sony's other portable player.
1) Switch on player2) Open tray compartment
3) Using the remote enter 2812
4) Press 9 on key pad and then enter or Nav Ctr button
5) Press CLEAR to exit
For the iLUV Portable media player, try these steps:
1. Open DVD drive
2. With the remote control type 1 3 6 9
3. After two seconds push "0" for multizone
4. Turn the player off.
5. Turn on and enjoy!
There are no indicators for this but it works.
