Will my Australian DVD recorder & Plasma TV work in the USA?

Hi there - purchased in Australia, I own a Panasonic Viera digital Plasma TV Model no. TH-50PX70A, a Panasonic DVD Recorder Model no. DMR-EX85, and a LG wireless DVD receiver system (home theatre) Model no. LH-W750TA. I understand that I would need to buy a converter for each of these to adjust the voltage/wattage differences. Aside from this, is there any reason any of these 3 devices would not function properly if we brought them with us when we move to the USA? Thanks, Natalie

Hi. No they won't work. Different systems here (found out the hard way). Ironically we are now moving back to Australia from New Jersey and we have nearly the exact same system that we have to sell before coming back !

Sorry it's not that simple, both Astralian and North American TV's run on the same voltage 120v, but the digital tuners are completly different. Australian uses DVB-T, and North America uses ATSC. That means they are complete incompatible with each others broadcast signals. You could use your Australian PS4, and other Australian digital video devices, but to be honest, you should look at buying a North American TV if you plan on staying for a while.

connect your blue ray and your dish net with hdmi cables to the amplifier than monitor out hdmi to tv .in your dvd configuration you must make sure that hdmi audio is activated .ps not to be mean but this is a very low quality dvd because it does not have fiber optique audio output but it can still work, for your dis net it all depends on what type of digital audio output
is available , ill be honest with you this is a good job .

make sure your speaker to your sheron sound isnt to close to it .also if dvd player is the source then move away from tv will demagnatize the tv theres a magnet in them

I cannot record from a Daewoo DVD recorder ( 8150P) through my Viera TV ( model TX-L32S20B ). The screen says No Signal and instructs me to check inputs. I've tried using all cominations of AV1 and AV2...

If you want to record from the TV to the DVD recorder you have to first select a channel on the TV that you want to record and then take an AV cable ( Yellow / Red / White ) and connect from the Monitor out socket of the TV to the AV in of the Daewoo DVD recorder. Drop a blank DVD select AV on the Recorder and press the record button.

How are you? Good I hope. I recently purchased a Panasonic TH-P50U20A plasma and got a Soniq T500-AU HD Personal Video recorder for Christmas. I already had a Panasonic SC-PT470 DVD Home Theatre Sound...

I'm experiencing this lip synch problem with the T500 too. Not only that, but the soniq firmware upgrade (from their site) doesn't work either. And not only that, but the unit won't record from the EPG, and timer record looks like it is unreliable as well. The frimware file was on their site a few days ago, now I can't find it. They're promising a new website (URL?) soon. I'm none too impressed. Anyone got any ideas? Thanks.
