Best place to get drivers for wireless internet for toshiba laptops is the toshiba support website. Visit the toshiba support website and type in your model for drivers and the list of all drives available for your unit will be displayed. You can simply get the driver for your wireless from there.

Download a Ubuntu Live CD and try to connect to the internet. If that works, then you have a driver problem. Try updating your wireless driver for toshiba by searching toshiba drivers. find your model and download the correct driver and reinstall it.

If Ubuntu doesn't even get internet, then you have an hardware problem. Wireless cards don't usually die, so it's probably overheating. so prop open your keyboard and clean the wireless card instructions here: http://www.irisvista.com/tech/laptops/toshiba-satellite-a135/remove-mainboard-1.htm

did you try driver guide I have also had great luck with Driver Detective both places work well

Click on the Downloads tab and then choose windows xp as your operating system and you can download any of the drivers that you need from that point.

This software will work with your Toshiba Laptop. This software was created by Toshiba. You need to install the Network Adapter. So go to Toshiba's website and update your network adapter drivers for win XP SP2.
