I turned off the printer in the middle of a print cycle and now I'm unable to restore it to normal operating condition. I did a cold reset but the orange light keeps flashing and I'm unable to print. I'm running OS X 10.8.2
1. Check any paper jams in side.
2. Check cartridge.
3. Remove back cover, clean paper sensors.
4. Replace Formatter board.
I had this problem and tried clearing paper jams (there were none), replacing toner cartridge, moving all the sensors in the paper paths to let the machine know it was ok to print. I did cold resets many times. I unplugged the machine and let it sit. Nothing worked until I plugged the power cord directly into the wall outlet -- not the power strip. The printer had been plugged into a power strip for years and never had this problem, but this worked. Try it.

Unplug it for a minute or so. Make sure all the paper is out. Turn it back on. Macs usually have their own drivers. Did it come with a disk. Please rate me
