heres the aprt number for the "catch" , if you have a problem removing it i would simply push it into the door, it will fall to teh bottom , no need to worry about ti wont hurt nothin.. its meant to grab and snap into place as you push it into place, whichis why itdoesnt wnat to pull back out the same way W10111905

I had the same problem and just fixed it. First, open the door and remove four screws, two are holding the door on and the other two are in the same place on the opposite side. Lift the door up and pull it out to remove it. Set it aside. Pull the front panel down. Admire all of the **** that has collected inside the dryer. Next, there are two dark colored metal clips holding the top down on the upper right and left. Remove the hex head screws holding these on. Wiggle them to release them and take them out. Now the lid will lift to reach the screws holding the fins on. Tighten as necessary. Now would be a good time to get the shopvac and clean the lint and junk out of the dryer. Reverse the process to put it back together. Problem solved!
