My nokia c3 shows a white screen for 2-5 seconds and it writes menu at the bottom of the white screen after that it goes to the normal screen is this normal

It must be a connection problem, to the LCD, or the light is not working.
Can only be sorted by looking at it really.
Back to Telstra I'm afraid. If it's new let them sort it out, if it's not try a reset take the sim card out first then input this code *#7780# (Best to use this code as a last resort)
Give it time to work.

For this you need to flash your handset(if it is under warranty contact the service center)
To flash you need *USB cable compatible with your handset *A Computer *PC suite of your handset *Internet connection(Min speed 1Mbps)

To flash *Install the PC suite *Connect to USB *Open the PC suit *Select UPDATE PHONE SOFTWARE(dowload the Nokia Software updater by selecting this option) *Install the "NOKIA Software Updater" *Select Update**....(It takes 10-30 Mins)
**Please don't disconnect while updation process

Your phone OS is corrupt, install the new OS then it will work..

SOURCE: my phone (nokia 5800) is frozen

his phone is s60 platform. so, do this first.
remove simcard, switch on and if it loads fully, enter *#7370# f and 12345 when prompted for code.
if it hangs still, follow this
1. Turn off
2. Press and hold 3 keys (green)+(Red)+(camera) together
3. Turn on phone but don't release 3 keys
4. Wait until show shaking hands
5. Now your phone will format!!

RESETTING PHONE BY NOKIA SECRET CODES (steps 1 and 2)

1st step : SOFT RESETTING NOKIA MOBILE
Take backups of ur phone books,calender and others, then simply enter the code
*#7780#

2nd step : HARD RESETTING BY CODE
Just enter the code-
*#7370#
Then it asks for security code enter ur security code whose deafault value is 12345
NOTE:
The battery must be full or the charger has to be connected to the phone so that it does not run out of power and make the phone unusable.
Take backup of the contacts and other important data in MMC .

FLASHING

3rd step :FLASHING : ANOTHER METHOD FOR HARD FULL FORMATTING

This step is known as flashing of phone. Always do this step at last (after 1st 2 steps are over and u are not successfull)

1. Make sure you phone is fully charged. (At minimum 3/4 of bettery should be left)

2. Backup your contacts list and personal files to MMC memory card (if possible).

3. Switch-off your mobile phone.

4. Press and hold these three keys together

-Green dial key,-Star key (*)-Three key (3)

then press the power on/off to swtich on the phone.

Do not let go the three keys until you see the “formatting” screen displayed

5. After a few minutes, the format will be complete. Your mobile will now be at its original factory settings (It will reach the same state as that in when you purchased it).
