Sony tv no pic or sound

I HAVE A SONY TRINITRON KV-36HS510. IM HAVING A PROBLEM,ITS NOT SHOWING A PIC, AND BLINKING 7 TIMES THEN PAUSE FOR A COUPLE OF SECONDS THEN IT WILL BLINK 7 MORE TIMES,I CAN HEAR AUDIO BUT CANNOT SEE PIC. COULD YOU PLEASE HELP ME OUT ,I'VE TRIED CUTTING THE TV OFF FOR ABOUT 6 HOURS AND CUTTING IT BACK ON,SAME RESULTS, THANKS

how many times your ligth blinks?

if so you need to check your g2 voltage

Sony put i pic killer circut in there tvs. if the tube was not
giving the proper feed voltage on the guns in
the pic tube it blinks off ,sound good no pic.
if you turn up the brightness
on the flyback transfromer you can
get a little more life out of it ,

The 5 blinks means a problem in the set's AKB (auto kine-bias) circuit. Sony TV's monitor the operation of the picture tube. When some kind of trouble has been detected, the TV blanks the screen and flashes the 5 blink error code. This may be due to problems in the video circuit, a bad picture tube, or adjustments that have changed due to aging of parts. There isn't anything I can suggest you try on your own to fix it. try to replace the horizontal out transistor

My sony is doing the same thing. but mine blinks 11 times. each time it goes to turn on i hear the clicking then nothing.

The Sony error codes go up to 7, so when the standby light flashes 11 times it usually means that one of the clock or data lines deep inside the set is shorted to ground. This is not fixable from the front or through the remote, so the set should be serviced by a qualified tech familiar with Sony sets.

turn up your master screen control on flyback transformer. if when sceen gos black ,the timer light will be blinking. this means your picture tube is week. by turning up the screen control you may give it more time.

with your model number manny have a defective flyback part number is 1-453-310-11
