I bought a Samsung blu-ray player today (Model #BD-E5400). When I connected it to my Element tv (Model #ELCP0371) it shows the Samsung logo and then the tv goes to a blue screen and says Not Support. Can anyone tell me what this means? I called Samsung twice and got different answers both times.

After reading your post a couple of times, it just seems your are in a little of a pickle here. The only thing I can suggest, since your tv will work with fios and not the your BD player(I assuming your using the same port on the tv with the same hdmi cable), is all about firmware. Maybe your tv is not compatible with the the BD player. Try updating the firmware on the tv.

Hi,
Please exchange HDMI cable, use any other HDMI cable in BluRay and TV and I would recommend to plug cable in another HDMI port in tv (if available) to solve this issue.
Make sure HDMI cable connector is plugged fully in both units, lose connection can cause No Signal display in tv any time.
Hope these info will help you.
Thanks.

That does ring some bells. Does the tv ever do this when you are watching anything else on the HDMI input or any other inputs, apart from the DVD player as the input source?
