SOURCE: I have a Kenwood Model

Try rubbing the mixer with isopropyl alcohol, this can solve and remove many plastic materials.

Walgreens Apothecary Isopropyl Alcohol 91% 16oz

If that does not work , contact Kenwood here, this is not a common problem.

SOURCE: K-beater is stuck on our Kenwood Chef and we can't remove it

I couldn't remove the K-Beater as when I tried to turn it the whole mechanism turned with it. I couldn't even remove the splashguard! I was going to take it to the Kenwood factory (a few miles from home) but then I thought I'd give it one more go and this is what I did...

  1. Next to where the K-Beater attaches in the middle of the circular plate is a lug with a pointed-shape bolt on the end. Remove this with a spanner and the beater plus gear cog can be removed.
  2. Place some mole grips or wide pliers on a worktop and sit the cogged gear in to it and grip so that it won't turn.
  3. Now you should be able to remove the K-Beater!
Perhaps someone can suggest how to stop it happening again. I haven't attached anything since but will update this post if I have any other helpful tips.

SOURCE: can't remove beater kmix from machine. it's stuck!kenwood

Here's how to fix the stuck implement problem:

The implements each have adjustable heights. to adjust the height you need to loosen the bolt at the top with a 14mm spanner. If the bolt was loose when it was being used then it can get too short and not leave enough clearance between the bolt and the machine in order to push up and turn to release the implement. If this happens take the open ended spanner, grasp the implement and rotate the spanner clockwise (when looking up at the machine from below. Once the nut is loose rotate the implement until there is enough clearance to remove it normally.

Beater hits side of bowl

What part number did you order for the beater and what is the model number for the mixer? Also is the mixer brand new, or did you get it used and it just started happening?

Cannot remove the flexi beater

I have read on other posts that it is the nut at the top of the beater that is causing the problem. You need to rotate it downwards toward the beater in order to have sufficient room to push and rotate the beater out. This didn't work for me, nor did attempting to remove the whole plate by undoing the lug beside the beater insert. Now that I have worn the lug and the nut I cannot get it repaired at a Kenwood service specialist as I have attempted the repair myself.
My advice is to go straight to a professional. Whatever they charge it will be cheaper than being stuck with a machine you can only use some of the time and have to replace!

Bread dough beater will not come off

Make sure your Beater can slip in and out of the Beater Shaft
easily. Do not force the beater onto the Shaft if the shaft is bent.
If it cannot be removed easily by hand, use a soft rubber mallet
(not a steel hammer) to slightly tap the beater so it can be moved
up and down the shaft or from side to side. Then you can easily
turn the beater left and remove it from the shaft.

From Kitchenaid Manual:
To Attach Flat Beater, Wire Whip, or Dough Hook
1. Turn speed control to OFF.
2. Unplug stand mixer or disconnect power.
3. Tilt motor head back.
4. Slip beater onto beater shaft and press upward
as far as possible.
5. Turn beater to right, hooking beater over pin on shaft.
6. Plug into a grounded 3 prong outlet.

To Remove Flat Beater, Wire Whip or Dough Hook
1. Turn speed control to OFF.
2. Unplug stand mixer or disconnect power.
3. Tilt motor head back.
4. Press beater upward as far as possible and turn left.
5. Pull beater from beater shaft

I have a Kitchenaid 550 watt 6 qt. stand mixer model #KB26GIXER. I tried to use it this morning and couldn't get the beater blade to lock in place. Isn't there supposed to be a spring and washer...

There is only one pin on the beater shaft to hold the beater in place.
There is no spring or washer on the shaft.

To Attach Flat Beater,Wire Whip, or Spiral Dough Hook, simply
1. Slip flat beater on beater shaft.

2. Turn beater to right, hooking beater over the pin on shaft.

New Kenwood chef km 001 - I can't get the beaters out!

Try turning the beater in the reverse direction to the direction it normally turns - clockwise looking at the beater (I think), this should make the shaft pins ride up on some cams which should release the beater.

The K Beater

It is most probably the nickel plating seperating of the the beater surface unless it is actually hitting the side of the bowl. You may need to replace the beater as it is not good to eat food with metal in it.
