Black is usually negative; red is usually positive the coloured wires with a corresponding wire with a stripe are usually speaker wires where the white striped wire is negative. please state the exact model you want a wiring diagram for to see if we can help more

    Hello Daniel! Thank you for your reply. This is CCTV camera Pelco ICS300-CRV3A. That camera supports 24VAC or 12VDC. In manual of camera I see that I should use 12DC power connector. But I have not this connector, because I got the cameras from Ebay. And in whole internet I can't found a wire diagram for this model of Pelco cameras. Very strange that this information is not listed in manual.

  • Daniel Bakewell Jan 04, 2013

    Thanks for clarifying, i was on the wrong track altogether. You need to be very careful not to connect this unless you are using the specified power source. The camera data sheet states 12vdc or 24vac but it doesnt mean it will use either power source. It means they manufacture two cameras almost identical, you choose 12vdc or 24vac when ordering.

  • Daniel Bakewell Jan 04, 2013

    sorry, this is embarrassing, i have too many internet pages open and i read the wrong one, it is a dual voltage camera, and I appreciate you need the wiring harness for the 12v application. next post should have some useful information please stand by!

  • Daniel Bakewell Jan 04, 2013

    OK... for 12vdc Red is (+) black is (-). if you use 24vac it wont really matter which way round they are put. The camera should auto sense the power supply you give it and work automatically. The other wires are for video signal. this link might prove useful, and if all else fails contact pelco: http://www.pelco.com/sites/global/en/pro...

    Hi Daniel! Thanks for useful information! Today I will try

  • Anonymous Jan 05, 2013

    Hi Daniel! The solution has been found! Yes, for ICS310 series the red/black is true. But.. For ICS300 series the BLACK is - and WHITE/BROWN is +. Thank you anyway for your help! Even integrated heater in camera starts good, the proof in attachment:) PS: in Siberia now -40C :)

SOURCE: Wiring Problems

You didn't cut the plastic connectors off the factory wiring, did you? One is gray and one black.... if not, just get to a stereo shop and buy a wiring kit for your car and all colors will match. They're about $10. If you DID..... well..... we have a LOT of work to do....

Need wire color diagram

Black = AC hot
Red = switched AC hot
Yellow = AC hot from a another source - another control panel as an example.
White = neutral
red w/white tracer = switched neutral
Green or green w/ yellow tracer = ground/earth ground
blue = DC voltage, ie, 12vdc, 24vdc
white w/blue tracer = dc common
Brown = AC 3 pahse - phase A
Orange = AC 3 pahse - phase B
Yellow = AC 3 Phase - phase C
shileds: think of current loops
2 cond
clear or red = +
black = -(neg)
3 cond
red = power (24vdc typically for transducers)
clear = + (signal output)
black = - (signal common)
Hope this helps, oh, and any panel I have design and wired this way is easily understaood by 99% of all service and electrical people I have worked with.

I have a general lee cb with a 4-pin standard mic. the wires in my mic cord broke at the plug. does wnyone know how to wire this type of mic back and what color wires go to the correct pin?there are 6...

Here are the Pin outs for different mics that will work with your radio. If a wire is not listed then you cut it off. It's best to keep the wires as short as possible no longer than a half inch is suggested. Normally the Cobra pin out is standard for most radios.

Stock - 1- Shield (Ground) 2- Yellow (Audio) 3- Red (Transmit) 4- White (Receive)

Astatic - (4 wire) 1- Shield 2- White 3- Red 4- Black

Astatic - (6 wire) 1- Shield & Blue 2- White 3- Red 4- Black Yellow NC

Daiwa EM-500, Cobra, CA Series - 1- Shield & Black 2- Red 3- White 4- Blue

Galaxy DC-521S - (4 wire) 1- Shield 2- Yellow 3- Red 4- Black

Galaxy CB-660EI - 1- Shield & Black 2- White 3- Red 4- Blue

Sadelta - 1- Shield 2- White 3- Brown 4- Green

Turner - 1- Shield & Red 2- White 3- Blue 4- Black Yellow NC

I have a cat5e wall plate(tph552) a cat5e wire4 colors don't match and 4 colors do ( brown,orange,blue,green,) are ok then wire has 4 that are white with (brown,orange,green,blue,)stripe. and wall plate...

The wires/colors in a category 5e cable run in pairs. They should be tightly twisted together, mostly white with a blue tracer. mostly blue with a white tracer- mostly white with an orange tracer- mostly orange with a white tracer, mostly white with a green tracer- mostly green with a whte tracer, and mostly white with a brown tracer- mostly brown with a white tracer.The jack you have sounds like a standard telephone or cat. 3 jack. If the jack is being used for a standard telephone line, you'll need to connect one of the wire pairs(usually the white/blue pair) to the green and red terminals on the jack.Make sure that the same pair is also terminated at the main telephone junction.

Here is a cheat sheet I compiled that you will find very helpful:

Plug Types/Application
7 Way - RV Trailers, Horse and Utility Trailers
6 Way - Horse, Stock and Utility
4 Way - Utility Trailers

Columns are Color, Function, Mark on the plug.

Seven wire Trailer plugs
:

Horse, stock or utility trailers:
White = Ground - 1
Blue = Electric Brakes - 2
Brown = Tail and clearance lights - 3
Black = Battery, aux power - 4
Yellow = Left turn/Brake - 5
Green = Right turn Brake - 6
Orange or Purple (not both) = Auxilliary or Reverse - 7

Recreational Vehicle:
White = Ground - 1
Blue = Electric Brakes - 2
Green = Tail and clearance lights - 3
Black = Battery, aux power - 4
Red = Left turn/Brake - 5
Brown = Right turn Brake - 6
Yellow = Auxilliary or Reverse - 7

Six wire trailer plugs:

Horse, stock or utility trailers:
White = Ground - GD
Yellow = Left turn/Brake -LT
Green = Right turn Brake -RT
Brown = Tail and clearance lights - TM
Red or Black (not both) = Battery, aux power - A
Blue = Electric Brakes - S

Recreational Vehicle: (color, use, plug mark)
White = Ground - GD
Yellow = Not used -
Brown = Right turn Brake - RT
Green = Tail and clearance lights -TM
Black = Battery, aux power - A
Red = Left turn/Brake - LT
Blue = Electric Brakes - S

Four wire plugs:
White = Ground
Yellow = Left turn/Brake
Green = Right turn Brake
Brown = Tail and clearance lights

Ground should be 10ga.
Others 14 ga

Wiring on a RCA RJ-45 wall jack

the RJ45 wallplate is not meant for ethernet. It's an 8P8C connector for a phone. Will it work as a network jack? Maybe. I wouldn't use it, but if you really want to try, wire it thusly:

1 Blue --- Orange/White
2 Orange --- Orange
3 Black --- Green/White
4 Red --- Blue
5 Green --- Blue/White
6 Yellow --- Green
7 Brown --- Brown/White
8 White --- Brown

I'd still recommend a CAT5 wallplate with a CAT5 jack.

RJ-45 Pins are with the spring tab down and read left to right. Do you have an RJ-45 Crimping tool?
Just use 568-B or 568-A on both ends of the same cable.
