Reverse on 3-Wheel scooter won't work.

My mother just bought a used ZOOM 220. It works great in forward, but when you put it in reverse it stumbles and then stops, but the wheels will spin without any weight on them. All the connections are tight. and have good voltage.

It's a Invacare Zoom 220 HMV 3-Wheel scooter.

Thanks for any help!

Invacare HMV 220 3 wheel scooter. Good battery, Why won't it go?

hi, the clicking sounds like the brake and if that's the case your throttle pot etc is working okay. check the connections from the controller to the motor, putting 12v on the motor does not prove it's okay resistance wise for the controller, it looking for about 0.2 to 1.5 ohms...

if that all proves okay then i look at the controller ...what is the name of the mobility scooter ?

Put in new batteries status light blinks no forward or reverse

The blinking is a flash code, maybe you should check the free wheel lever is in the drive position."hard to manually push"

Scooter won't reverse and makes clicking sound by the controller by the electric motor

There is a servo which switches the transmission from forward to reverse and it needs replaced.

Have Zoom 220 HMV 3 wheel scooter. Charged battery in house socket. Shows green, turn key shows fully charged but will not move forward or backwards. Horn works.Moved don't have the manual. It is only 1...

It is possible the the battery could be damaged after being stored for that length of time. If it was wasn't completely charged before storage, or if it was exposed to extreme temperatures (even for a short amount of time) you may need to find a replacement battery. http://www.batteryinternational.com/electric-scooter-batteries.html should have the battery you need.

Forward/Reverse switch not working Revo Pride

Could it be in free-wheel mode. Most Prides have a pull up knob at the rear of the scooter.
