Had same problem. It turns out I didn't remove all plastic caps from new cartridge (mine came with orange-color). Once I did that, problem solved.

Thanks abunch, I spent over 2 hours on the phone with the smart peopel in INDIA and they could bnot fix the problem, awesome thanks a bunch I did what you did and it is all good!!

I too had the same problem and tried all the unplugging and cartridge removal tricks, but the error kept coming back. The post from totalcomp18 solved the problem. There is a orange square plastic cap with a tab that goes around a sensor. I pulled it off and all reinstalled the cartridge. Let the machine reset itself, and all is OK. Thank You.

Suddenly my toner finished. I changed original HP toner. but I found an error 10.1000 supply memory error. I checked the toner I had removed all orange tap completlly I removed toner twice or thrice. But Error was same. Then I switched off My printer HP 1522nf and remove and re-installed toner. This time error did not come. I like sharing my exepriences.

I got an 10.1000 memory supply error. I removed an orange cap still on the cartridge and now theres no error.

    Thanks for the solution!!!!!

Thanks for the tip, I found the same thing. The setup shows it, but I'm used to pulling a single orange tab from the cartridge before installing it, so I overlooked it.

We had the same problem. The error has to do with the cartridge. Take the cartridge out, clean the contacts, put it back in.    Buy another original cartridge to replace it.

Are you using HP toner? Try reseating the cartridge. If it's still getting the error, replace the cartridge.

Try another toner. Most likely the chip on this one is bad.

There is a protective plastic clip over the cartridge chip. Remove the orange plastic and it will quit giving you the supply memory error. Refer to figure 6

Supply memory error color

A "supply memory" error is usually caused by a bad toner cartridge. Each cartridge has a chip that is read by the printer.
Try reseating the cartridges.

Most likely the Orange Clip that surrounds the sensor contacts on the front edge of the cartridge was not removed. Open the machine, look at your cartridge, make certain that any clips or protectors are removed, clean the contacts if in doubt and reseat the cartridge... your problem should be solved.

I have a problem with my HP ColorLaserJet CP2025 the problem is that it show in the screen (10.1000 supply memory error) so that i cannot print any document..

Most likely this error is caused by using a remanufactured cartridge. If it is a new, genuine HP cartridge, you can return it to the dealer for a new one.
