High pressure due to back flow preventer

I have installed a back flow preventer at the water inlet to my house, per my town's requirement. This went in during the summer and I've had no real issues other than the annoying sound it makes when water is flowing. Now that it is winter, I am having issues with the water heater generating very high pressure (>150 psi) in the system as it heats up the water after everyone showers. The water heater has a pressure relief valve which now releases water regularly, and the plumber installed a pressure meter to see how high we're going (this is how I know we're getting above 150 psi and that the relief valve isn't broken). Is there a way to make this all work without having such high pressure cycles in my system? We've already had one pipe leak due to the high pressure (ironically, on the water heater, but it could happen anywhere in my house with all the pressure cycling going on). Help!

Add a variable regulator to the house side of the check valve. Also add a pressure tank between the regulator and the hot water heater.

Not enough flow and pressure to run sprinkler system

pressure in centrifugal pumps depends on the number of impellers in the pump housing, the clearance of the impellers to the housing and the power of the motor to drive the impeller/s
volume flow is also important as a pump without a high output will not produce pressure
check the jet size at the foot valve that is used to help lift water to the pump
It is a jet pump and will have a smaller line back to the foot valve for that purpose
next wil jet pumps if there is too much flow to the outlet , the pressure required to help lift the water to the pump is reduced and the volume is also reduced
you indicate 4 sprinkler heads per zone but how many zones are operating at one time
check the expected delivered volume for the new pump against delivered volume of the old pump as a starter to find the reason for the poor performance of the new pump
check also the rpms of each pump as that also has a bearing on volume produced

Error code H F

Display shows F20 or FH - Front-load washer...

zjlimited_1486.jpg

This error code indicates a water supply problem. Are both the hot and cold water faucets turned on? Turn on the water. Check the household faucets to see if the hot and cold water faucets are turned on. Completely open both faucets for proper fill.

NOTE: Both hot and cold water must be connected to the washer and turned on; the washer will not properly operate with only one incoming source of water.

Are the water inlet hoses kinked?

Straighten the water inlet hoses.

Are the water inlet valve screens on the washer clogged?

zjlimited_459.gif

Turn off the water and remove inlet hoses from the inlet valves in the back of the washer. Inside the inlet valves are screens. Remove any accumulated film or particles from the screens. Reinstall hoses, turn on water, and check for leaks. See the Installation Instructions for details; find them by entering your model number in the search tool below.

zjlimited_1488.jpg

Is the water pressure less than 10 psi?
If the water pressure is too low, the washer may not properly operate. To find out your exact pounds-per-square-inch (psi) value, contact your local water utility company.

Are you using HE High Efficiency detergent?
Use only HE High Efficiency detergent. Using non-HE detergent, or more than the manufacturer's recommended amount of detergent, can cause excessive suds. The excess suds can prevent the washer from detecting the incoming water.

Concentrated detergents labeled 2x and higher will require a small amount of detergent based on load size. Always follow the manufacturer's recommendations.

Are you using flood-preventing inlet hoses that can shut off the water to the washer?
These hoses have a valve inside that will close if the water pressure is higher than two gallons per minute; this will shut off the water to the washer. If one of these hoses becomes loose, the water flow through the hose will increase and close the valve inside the hose, which will shut off water to the washer to prevent a possible leak or flood. If the hose is not loose, try taking the hoses back to the store for a replacement set.

To remove the error display, press Pause/Off or Pause/Cancel twice.

If Pause/Off or Pause/Cancel does not work:

Unplug the washer or disconnect the power for one minute.
Plug in the washer or reconnect the power.
Re-select the cycle and press Start.

NOTES:
On some washers, when the washer is started for the first time after this error code, it will begin to drain. You will not be able to pause or cancel the cycle for about 8 minutes while it drains. This is normal.
If the error remains on the display, and all of the other conditions above have been checked, call for service.

Not filling with water

Hi

When the Dishwasher is not filling in, you'll need to check for the water inlet valve, the filter screen and the float switch/assembly. Also check for the float assembly inside the dishwasher. When water is filling your dishwasher, a float rises along with it. As the float reaches a certain threshold level, it shuts off the flow of water, thereby preventing a leak. Sometimes the float can get stuck in the wrong position in your dishwasher, and it can prevent your dishwasher from filling. Sometimes it can happen due to float valve and on other occasions due to float switch. Inspect the water hose coming to the dishwasher for any blockages.
If these are fine then it's due to Water Inlet Valve. Use a multimeter and check for the continuity on inlet valve. If you don't get any value on the multimeter then you'll need to replace the water inlet valve assembly.

Hope this helps... Please post back if you need more information.

Our rheem pronto tankless rutg-74xp red light will come home indicating hot water and stay on about 2 minutes and then turns off we have turned off and back on and let water run for 5 minutes and will come...

Before calling service technician, open following link for Rheem troubleshooting resources.
http://waterheatertimer.org/Troubleshoot-Rheem-Tankless-water-heater.html

List of causes MIGHT include one of following:
Bad household circuit breaker that powers electronics, or loose wire inside outlet where tankless plugs in.
Tankless fuses and control board.
Water flow rate too low. Minimum .8 gallon required (depending on model)
Tankless inlet filter clogged.
Household aerators clogged at faucets.
Crossover at single-handled faucet
If installed, there can be crossover at mixing valve.
Faulty household check valve, including check valve on re-circulation system if that system is installed.
Restriction in household water line, such as clog at elbow.
Unequal pressure in household hot and cold lines, caused by restriction in hot line. When single-handled faucet turns on, the cold water pressure is higher so hot does not flow and tankless will not turn on.
Loose wire connection inside tankless.
Unit temperature set too high.
Unit temperature set too low.
Water temperature is very hot coming out of tap, so more cold is added, but that reduces amount of hot water flow, so tankless turns off because flow rate is too low.
On some tankless, if water is preheated by solar or other indirect source, the burner will not activate.
High mineral content in water > delime tankless yearly
Misaligned temperature sensor
Low gas pressure. Wrong type of gas. Undersized gas line.
Too many faucets on at same time.
Faulty tankless water valve. Water valve stuck.
Fluctuating household water pressure, for example MUD and PUD district water pressure problems or water well pressure.
Faulty household pressure reducing/regulating valve if installed.
Faulty household pressure tank, if installed -or- pressure tank needs to be installed.

What causes the cold water in a washer machine to come out real slow?

Hi

This may be either due to blocked inlet hose or low water pressure. If the inlet valve seems to be fine then make sure that the filter screen is clear & clean. If these are fine then it's due to Water Inlet Valve. Use a multimeter and check for the continuity on inlet valve. If you don't get any value on the multimeter then you'll need to replace the water inlet valve assembly. Hope this helps... No hot water from bosch tankless heater

  1. If the display is blank, verify power to electrical outlet. (120VAC/60Hz properly grounded circuit required). Verify that the heater on/off switch is in the on (I) position.
  2. Verify the fuses in the control unit are good.To access fuses, the control unit must be removed. See BULLETIN TWH-G2-24 Two spare fuses are located inside lower access panel of control unit.
  3. Make sure cold water inlet connection is plumbed to the right side of heater when facing unit.
  4. A minimum of 0.8 gallons per minute (GPM) (3 l/m) is required to activate the heater. A quart container should fill in 20 seconds or less to activate heater.
  5. Clean inlet filter screen per chapter 5.2. of the installation manual.
  6. Inspect the water path for obstructions. Make sure all showerheads, faucet aerators and whole house filters are clear of debris.
  7. The heater activates when the water flow through the unit is at or above the required minimum of 0.8 GPM (3 l/m). A crossover creates back pressure on the water flowing through the heater. Therefore, a higher flow rate than normal is needed to force the heater to activate. To check for a plumbing crossover, shut off the cold water supply feed to the water heater. Then open all of the hot water taps served by the heater. Wait 10 minutes and check for water flow at taps. There should be no water flowing. Any continuous flow of water indicates a crossover is present and must be corrected. Consult a professional plumber for help in correcting a crossover. Failing single lever faucets and mixing valves are common causes of plumbing crossovers.
  8. With the ON/OFF switch turned to OFF (O) position and the power supply cord unplugged, remove theunit's front cover (See Page 5. Fig 3 of installation manual). Check wire connections between the water valve, control unit and electrode set. See chapter 9.2 of installation manual for location of these parts.

I get a check water tap error 2 to 4 times a load

I have this problem. This code is due to restriction of water flow. In my case, we have sand in our water, and I have installed a filter between the water line and the washer. When it gets clogged, the flow is restricted and the Check Water Tap message appears. Your washer has filters on the back of the washer itself that may be clogged and need cleaning (which is why I installed the water filter between the washer & water line to prevent it from getting into the washer filter). Your washer manual shows you how to check/clean them. Also, you may have low water pressure during summer months due to lawn watering in your area that could cause this lower water pressure.
