Xperia x10i won't start up

I have two Xperia X10i smart phones that Will not startup. With SIM and SD card s in place push and hold the power button and nothing happens. Batteries are charged and hold a normal charge. When plugged into USB a red flashing light appears on the screen. Both phones have been supplied through VodafoneNZ and are most probably locked to that network. Soft or hard reboot does not activate. Any suggestions how to get these things working.?

Thanks for the suggestion but I can't get the phone to go to enter the unlock code. Problem is the phone won't start..

try to hold the beginning of the usb-cable on your mobile side upwards.. or downwards? if it works u know your usb cable or mobile plug-in isn't working so you have to buy a new usb-cable or you have to let your mobile fixed at the store.. if nothing happend: I DON'T KNOW.. but that's what happend to my SE X10

you must reset your phone. This will wipe all the contents of the memory

I would like to unlock the SIM NETWORK UNLOCK PIN for my Xperia X10i sent to me by a friend.

The phone needs to be unlocked first before you can use it on other GSM carriers aside from the original one. You would need to get the unique network unlock code that would only work for your phone.
