Hi all,
i saw an unused connector inside the robot, called 9x or 6x.
there are 4 pins, it looks like a kind of serial connector (gnd, TD, RD, VCC). Any body knows what is it for and if we can get control of the robot throught it via an API?
This could be usefull to have a kind of scheduler, remote control or, via an external computer a graphical representation of the cleaning with "real" virtual walls.

iRobot Roomba Vacuuming
Robots and the iRobot Dirt Dog Workshop Robot are equipped with four
infrared Cliff Sensors that prevent robots from falling off stairs or
ledges. The Cliff Sensors are located along the inside of the bumper. If
the Sensors become obstructed by dust or debris, the infrared signal is
weakened. Regularly inspect and clean the Sensors. Use compressed air
for best cleaning results.

There is a ring that is designed to fit over bottom drains to prevent robotic pool cleaners from getting stuck. There are several different brands/kinds available and any of them should prevent the problem. Here is one example:
if you still have warranty, call iRobot. if not, look for how to clean the Cleaning Head Module CHM this is very simple to do but remember you'll need Lithium Grease to complete the job. Good luck
please count the beeps and let us know of it
this tells you the kind of fault it has
look in your Roomba's user manual, this is all explained there ;-)

You are probably facing a bumper sensor issue. Try to clean the bumper first and if this goes on, either call iRobot service, or take a look at this page forthe step by step 9 beep fix.
