Can't get the outside weather to show

I recommend using lithium batteries for your remote sensor. Alkaline batteries are fine in the summer, but as temperatures drop below 40°F, performance drops. Lithium batteries cost a lot more than alkaline, but they will not let you down in the winter months.

I've had the same problem since I bought this unit 2+ years ago; when the outside temperature moves into the freezing zone, the sensor stops transmitting. I contacted Lacrosse-- all they could suggest was change the batteries. My solution: throw it in the trash!
