Hello, TAX-AMT is not printingon receipt after changing tax rate.
After changing the tax rate to 8% per instructions in manual and assigning tax calculation to dept key 12, the TAX-AMT 1 is not printing on the receipt. T1 is printing next to dept on receipt. I do not understand why TAX-AMT 1 is not printing . When listing departments T1 is printed next to dept. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks, Monica

Casio TE2200: Key To PGM, Press 3 then Subtotal, 0125 Subtotal ( this sets tax table 1, 0225 will set table 2 etc), 6.725 CA/Amt Tend (insert your rate here), 0 CA/Amt Tend, 5002 CA/Amt Tend (this sets to Fraction Round Off and Add On Tax), Subtotal
Hi. You are working in the wrong area. You need to tell each department not to add TAX2. Go to the department programming, and there should be a setting that says use tax1, use tax 2 etc. Turn off tax2 for any depts that you don't want it added and it will no longer print or calculate tax 2 for that department.

For anyone looking for a Casio PCR-T2000 manual, see here:
http://the-checkout-tech.com/manuals/cashregisters/Casio2.php
1) switch to PGM mode
2) press 3 then sub total key
3) press 0125 for tax table 1 or 0225 for tax table 2 followed by the sub total key
4) enter tax rate percentage using the decimal point and then press CA/Amt Tend
5) press 5002 and then CA/Amt Tend (to round off results)
6) press sub total key
Absent any specific model information, I suggest you refer to the manual to see if there is a "calculate but don't print option". I doubt it seriously however, since the receipt would make no sense to the customer. It may be possible to trick the register by telling it to print those lines in a color that is not available on the print ribbon, but still the customer would be confused if they tried to manually total the bill..
I'm in Australia and only going on the program manual for your area, it states that canadian tax is tax on tax? if this is true then you probably entered a code for add on or add in tax and thereby changed it all.
you need the following
tax table address
1 125
2 225
3 325
4 425
rounding off codes
rounding off to 2 decimal places is 50
rounding up to 2 decimal places is 90
cut off to 2 decimal places is 00
tax system code
tax table with out tax rate 01
tax table with tax rate and add on rate 02
add in tax rate 03 Canadian tax-on-tax rate 04
starting point
to get the starting point you multiply by 100 and subtract 1
eg 50 cents = 0.50 X 100 - 1 = 50 - 1 = 49
eg $4 = 4.00 x 100 -1 = 399
to program the tables go through these steps
go to program 3
tax table address eg 125 subtotal
tax rate ca/amt tend
starting point eg 0.50 = 49 ca/amt tend
rounding eg 50
tax system eg 04 ca/amt tend ca/amt tend
here you have 2 choices,
press ca/amt tend to go to the next tax table ie 225 and start over by entering the tax rate and go through the procedure again
or
press subtotal to finalise the tax table you are on
