Sd card ive got a aspire 6920g and when i put an micro sd card in nothing happens what do i go in to read my memory card out my phone thanks

Ive seen this happen to many times, this happens if the phone gets jarred too hard, or if you removed the sd card without unmounting it first, there is really nothing that can be done with the card, you're going to have to get a new one, ( I worked for Cricket for a long time and I have seen this issue many times)

I had the same problem with an HTC Aspire ( I think that's what it was called :} Anyway I formatted the micro SD card in fat 32 through my laptop using a micro sd to sd adapter and the sd card slot on my laptop. I then stuck the micro sd card back into the HTC and it worked. I heard formatting through another phone works too. Try it and let me know.

Try using a stand-alone USB SD card reader, plug that into your computer to see if it can be read now.

Your laptop must have a card slot, for it to be able to read the card.

First most phones use a micro sd card, so you need the card holder,
a card holder id a regular size sd card that you put the micro card into
and then you put this into a sd card reader if the laptop has one.

Most laptops,computers, can not read a micro sd card, only sd card,
and some mmc memory sticks.

You did not post who made your laptop, or the model number so we have no clue if your laptop has a card reader.

The Micro adapter has no memory in it. It is just an adapter to use so you can plug your Micro SD memory card into a larger (SD) slot. The SD Micro memory card needs to be inserted into the adapter.

Did you put the card into your phone. This does not sound right
that your pc did not see the folders on the card.

well...all you should know about the micro SD card is that you should format it, when it's inserted in the computer's card reading/writing unit... once (the first format) and don't put any file in it...insert it in the phone, and format it again (formatting is rewquiring FAT 16, or FAT file system in both formatting processes) after that, reinsert it in the computer's card reader/writer and find a way to defrag it...after that do a check with a disk checking tool, or program...and after all is ok...you can put any file type on, insert it in the phone, and restart the phone...if this doesn't work...the card is either bad, or the phone does not support it's memory size...

The PIC or EEPROM inside these cards may not be working. I guess you best bet is to buy a new one try Kingston brand or go with another Sandisk.

sure...I'd say you need to do a system restore to a previous point, or get new sandisk drivers from their site
