ALWAYS save your files regularly during working on it.
There is an UNDO under the EDIT menu, but that is to late now.
IF you had done ANY 'save" at all, at last resort you could have just exited the program, re-opened the saved file and you would have the file as it was last saved.
Right now you can:
Go to TOOLS, Options, hit the SAVE tab. Tweak as you like.
As far as document recovery now, there is nothing that can be done at this time... except TRYING to have a Document Recovery $peciali$t work on it. How long are you willing to be without your hard drive or computer?

guess your using oldversion of outook or ms office. try to update to latest one.
or try repairing the software using your office CD. Please follow the steps it will help you to slove the issue.
Make sure that you close all programs running.

You might want to do a scan of the computer for any virus infection. If you have observed that this happens only to MS Word 2003, check for the CPU utilization by going to the Task Manager and clicking the Processes tab; look for the process that eats out high resources and try to End that process. If it stops the slowdown, then that might be the one causing the problem.
Further, if you have the installation disc with the product key, you can just reinstall MS Office.

I am assuming that you want to do a mail merge from a list.
If you list is in Excel, you should be able to click mailings in Word. It will take you through the steps to create your set of labels. [It will help with other places for your lists besides Excel, too.
