Tablet acting strange.

One day I was on Youtube listening to a song when my tablet just randomly selected a completely different song. I figured it was just having an issue, so I reset it. Now I can't always get pass the lock screen and if I'm lucky enough to get pass it. My tablet randomly selects apps and start pressing things on them, and I've tried to go into settings to see if I can do a factory reset, but my tablet won't let me control it, it seems to have a mind of it's own. I can't even slide to a different screen and it keeps moving apps to a different screen all by itself. Is there anything I can do?

SOURCE: acer aspire not loading to windows

Hi,

If you have recovery disc or back up disc put it in and restart the PC and start tapping the F12 key until at the Acer splash screen, you should get now see your boot order, now use your up and down cursor key to highlight the CD/DVD drive and then press enter, this will now start the recovery disc that you put in, just follow the on-screen instructions.

If you don't have a disc, restart the PC and at the Acer splash screen start tapping the ALT+F10 or just F10 and if you have a recovery partition on your hardrive then the recovery program will start up, just follow the on-screen instructions.

Thanks

SOURCE: ACER ASPIRE 4520 keyboard problem

In laptops with a small screen (14,15" ) the keyboard is accordingly smaller than for desktops, and there is no numeric keypads, or arrow pad. So the keys 7,8,9 0, U,I,O,P,J,K,L ,comma, dot, / have a triple function: the primary function, the shifted function, and a third accessed by an FN-Fx key combination. The actual key combination may depend on manufacturer. If that key combination has been activated, the foregoing keys perfom the third function they were designed for..
Read your laptop manual to find out how the Fn- function key works and deactivate the Fn-Fx combination responsible for your keyboard behavior..(this article was posted by k24674)..

or else u r keyboard is likely to b defective or ur ram or the system board..
lightly strike/tap the keypad using ur hand..
if u r a professional, open the keyboard..deep clean all the carbon contacts beneath the keys using Iso-Propyl alcohol..put/stick 'Carbon-Dots' (available in cheap level spare market) as n where necessary..

hope it'll work..
always better to seek professional supervision esp of ur system admin/vendor....

"Selected the recovery option which backs up the files" just back up your files it does not restore your System! Can you boot to safemode? -> press the F8 key to enter Advanced Boot Options. You can try these options: - 1. Using System Restore in Windows 2. Run the SFC /SCANNOW Command 3. System recovery options in Windows 7 Here is the standard Acer Recovery Instructions
1. Power on the machine
2. At the white ACER BIOS screen, hold the "Alt" key and press the "F10" key simultaneously to start Acer eRecovery
3. Once eRecovery has loaded, click "Restore to Factory Default Settings"
4. Click "OK" to continue
5. From here, the eRecovery process will update all the data on the C: drive and restore a fully functional factory image (approximately 10 minutes).
6. Once eRecovery has run, press "OK" to reboot unit **Note:- All your data will be deleted if you restore to default settings! Hope it helps.

SOURCE: acer iconia a500 tablet shuts itself off

This might sound a little stupid, but 1 is it plugged in when you put it sleep mode, and when u open the screen do you physically have to turn it back on. Sometimes when you put a computer in "sleep mode" and its not plugged in you lose power slowly

Y cant i hear anythig on my tablet

First, restart your tablet. A tablet is a computer, and any computer needs a reboot every few days. Second, check the volume settings. You may be able to increase the volume and hear just fine. If your speaker is bad, you could use a bluetooth speaker or headphones to listen to sound. Also, try different content, sometimes videos do not have sound. I hope this helps.

My trio stealth 10 MST10-21 won't stay turned on

This may not be the problem, but worth checking. I ran into this the other day with my Trio Stealth pro tablet. I had left it on while unplugged and it drained the battery completely in sleep mode. It would only show the startup icon and shut right off. After a complete charge it is back to normal operation. You might try making sure the charge is full, maybe the battery has gone bad and that would also affect operation. Also try starting it up without the SD card in. If it doesn't mount properly or a file is corrupt, it may act strangely. I believe it scans the SD card first and may be trying to startup on it. Other than the above mentioned, it could still be hardware related with Ram or CPU problems. Good luck in finding the problem, tablets can be fun but frustrating sometimes.

6th gen. nano has shuffle issues. plays same song over and over

The iPod's shuffle feature lets you randomize playback of albums, songs or even your entire music library. You may also find this feature useful if you want to listen to forgotten tracks in your library or discover songs you haven't listened to yet. Disabling the shuffle feature will return playback of a song list to its standard consecutive order. You can enable and disable the shuffle feature at any time.

Navigate to the main menu. Select "Settings." Scroll to the "Shuffle" option. Select "Songs" or "Albums." If you select "Songs," the iPod Classic will shuffle the songs on whatever song list you listen to. If you select "Albums," the iPod Classic will play all songs of an album you select in order and then randomly select another album. Navigate to the playlist or album to which you want to listen. Play a song to initiate the shuffle. b> iPod Nano and iPod Touch Tap the "Songs" icon on your nano home screen. If you are using an iPod Touch, open the "iPod" application. Navigate to the song list, playlist or album you want to play. Tap the "Shuffle" icon at the top of the list to activate the feature.

You might try going to settings: select play mode: select dir normal and then exit. There are many different selections, but this might hold you within a specfic directory.

Why does my tablet suddenly start to randomly click and drag?

Sometimes the tablet (especially ones with buttons at the top such as Cut, Copy, Paste etc) reacts to pressure and not the tablet itself. Make sure theres nothing over them, that might help.
