One day I was on Youtube listening to a song when my tablet just randomly selected a completely different song. I figured it was just having an issue, so I reset it. Now I can't always get pass the lock screen and if I'm lucky enough to get pass it. My tablet randomly selects apps and start pressing things on them, and I've tried to go into settings to see if I can do a factory reset, but my tablet won't let me control it, it seems to have a mind of it's own. I can't even slide to a different screen and it keeps moving apps to a different screen all by itself. Is there anything I can do?

Hi,
If you have recovery disc or back up disc put it in and restart the PC and start tapping the F12 key until at the Acer splash screen, you should get now see your boot order, now use your up and down cursor key to highlight the CD/DVD drive and then press enter, this will now start the recovery disc that you put in, just follow the on-screen instructions.
If you don't have a disc, restart the PC and at the Acer splash screen start tapping the ALT+F10 or just F10 and if you have a recovery partition on your hardrive then the recovery program will start up, just follow the on-screen instructions.
Thanks

In laptops with a small screen (14,15" ) the keyboard is accordingly
smaller than for desktops, and there is no numeric keypads, or arrow
pad. So the keys 7,8,9 0, U,I,O,P,J,K,L ,comma, dot, / have a triple
function: the primary function, the shifted function, and a third
accessed by an FN-Fx key combination. The actual key combination may
depend on manufacturer. If that key combination has been activated, the
foregoing keys perfom the third function they were designed for..
Read
your laptop manual to find out how the Fn- function key works and
deactivate the Fn-Fx combination responsible for your keyboard behavior..(this article was posted by k24674)..
or else u r keyboard is likely to b defective or ur ram or the system board..
lightly strike/tap the keypad using ur hand..
if
u r a professional, open the keyboard..deep clean all the carbon
contacts beneath the keys using Iso-Propyl alcohol..put/stick
'Carbon-Dots' (available in cheap level spare market) as n where
necessary..
hope it'll work..
always better to seek professional supervision esp of ur system admin/vendor....

"Selected the recovery option which backs up the files" just back up your files it does not restore your System!
Can you boot to safemode? -> press the F8 key to enter Advanced Boot Options.
You can try these options: -
1. Using System Restore in Windows
2. Run the SFC /SCANNOW Command
3. System recovery options in Windows 7
Here is the standard Acer Recovery Instructions
1. Power on the machine
2. At the white ACER BIOS screen, hold the "Alt" key and press the "F10" key simultaneously to start Acer eRecovery
3. Once eRecovery has loaded, click "Restore to Factory Default Settings"
4. Click "OK" to continue
5. From here, the eRecovery process will update all the data on the C: drive and restore a fully functional factory image (approximately 10 minutes).
6. Once eRecovery has run, press "OK" to reboot unit
**Note:- All your data will be deleted if you restore to default settings!
Hope it helps.

This might sound a little stupid, but 1 is it plugged in when you put it sleep mode, and when u open the screen do you physically have to turn it back on. Sometimes when you put a computer in "sleep mode" and its not plugged in you lose power slowly
