Won't turn on. could it be more than the switch? my firend tested the switch and said it isn't getting juice to it. so should I replace the switch?
Use a multi meter and use checking continuity, from one side of the switch to the other. If you have continuity, the switch is good. It is also likely that the power cord could be bad, again checking continuity put one probe on one prong of the plug, and the other probe on the black, white, or green wire (thus checking the continuity through the cord)
It is common that cords get pulled out of the wall socket incorrectly, or accidentally when you run out of cord as you word away from the power source, stretching and eventually breaking one of the wires inside the power cord.
