Here are a few tips on buying nails for your nailer. Nails are sold in two basic categories, clip head and full round head. The clip head are lower in price and are usually taped on glued together with no spacing between them. The full round head have spacing between each nail and are held together with plastic. Some nailguns can use both types. It is important to verify the angle of your gun. To measure the exact angle use a straitedge along length of rails and a protractor at the barrel of the gun. Place the protractor on the barrel with the 90 and 0 degrees aligned with the barrel and hold the straitedge aligned with the rails and the 0 degree mark. Read the angle. You may find that your gun measures a different angle. Nails are sold from 0 to 34 degree. 34 degree is usually clip head for Paslode, Senco, Hitachi and other brands. I find that many brands of nails do not list the angle, but list the name of the gun instead. This makes it difficult for non-branded guns. Take the protractor into the store and measure the angle of the nails or place the nails on the outside of the rails to see if they align with the barrel. Shop several stores because nails vary by brand. Once you verify the perfect fit, ask for a sample strip to try in your gun. When you identify the angle and type, use this information to shop for price. Most nails are imported from around the world, however there are nails still produced in the US costing more. Home Depot and Lowes do not carry a full range of nails.
=Google the internet for more info on nails such as www.nailzone.com. They sell a 33 degree nail that may fit your gun. Good luck and email me or post again with more questions.

Can you use 30 degree nails in a Porter Cable FC350 34 degree nailer?

Yes, you can use 30 degree clipped head nails in the Porter-Cable FC350 framing nailer. The FC350A and FC350B nailers are newer models that specify the 30-34 degree clipped head nails. Make sure that the nails are between 2' - 3 1/2" in length. The manuals for each of the later models do not explicitly list the 30 degree nails. Their specifications page do list the 30 degree nails. See http://www.portercable.com/Products/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=11542 and https://www.homedepot.com/p/Porter-Cable-3-1-2-in-30-Degree-to-34-Degree-Clipped-Head-Framing-Nailer-FC350B/203555581 . The manual for the FC350 is available here: https://www.manualslib.com/manual/132288/Porter-Cable-Fc350.html . It is the same as the manual for the FC350B, https://www.homedepot.com/catalog/pdfimages/7e/7e0d0f88-a9e7-4411-ad0f-7fc5c1c1fbaa.pdf .

I hope this helps.

Freeman PFN1564 shoots air when you disengage safety and pull trigger

if you mean it only shoots air when you pull trigger and not a nail , disconect from air supply and open side of nail mag. (two screws on side) look for forign object in front towards head end , sometimes the paper that nails are wrapped in gets stuck in there , also there is a small spring metal clip at front of mag is this broken off and is unusually short ?

What degree nails

Hi, Senco 601's use a 34 Degree Strip nail. Easiest way to remember is this when thinking of Senco strip nailers:
601 and 651 are 34 Degree clipped head nails
602 and 652 are 20 Degree FULL round head nails

Can My FC 350 A used 28 degree nails

The manual for your gun specifies 34-degree nails from 2 to 3 1/2 inches long. 28-degree, wire collated nails are a Stanley-Bostitch thing and they only work in their nail guns, they will not work in your nail gun. You need 34-degree, paper-tape collated nails. I know Senco framing nails will work in your gun and I think Duo-fast makes 34-drgree nails but check that before buying them.

Trouble finding 3 1/2 clipped head nails 34 degrees

You can use the same nails that are used for these nailers: Porter Cable FC 350A, Hitachi NR83AA2, Senco FramePro 701XP, 751XP ,Ridgid R350CHA, DeWalt D51822, D51823, and Paslode F-3505. Make sure you purchase the correct shank nail. Nail length should be 2"- 3 1/2" and the shank should be .113" - .131". I have purchased nails for my FC350 at Home Depot and they are relatively inexpensive. Though you have to buy a case of like 2000 or 4000. The brand of nail is Grip Rite that I purchased. Any questions please post.
