The washing cycle works perfectly until it reaches the rinse program then it won't click on to pump. I have cleaned drain hose and tried to turn dial to pump but just keeps washing. Drained machine manually. It will work on spin once empty but just no attempt to pump or rinse.
Possible that the program timer is faulty as it fails to switch on the pump in the required sequence. You can clean the contacts, check the power to the pump, trace the pump power line to the timer which can confirm the case. In such cases the timer must be replaced.

do you have a drip-dry function...as this cancels the spin cycle unless you select it yourself

I checked the lint filter at the front bottom left hand side and it was full of junk. Once emptied it worked a treat. Pull the flap down and turn the large knob anti-clockwise and pull to remove. Good luck.

The pump is at the lower left of the front of the machine covered by a white plate. Use a bowl to catch any remaining water when opening the screw thread inside and then clean and replace. If it is truely beyond repair then a new filter pump can be bought from ebay for £3 or thereabouts.
I have just drained mine manually in this way and am going to run it empty with soda crystals to glean a few more days use whilst the new pump arrives.

I have had the same problem. If you switch the machine to off and then to cotton/linen 95, then press at the same time prewash, soaking, qick wash and stain buttons for 10 seconds switch it off. When I switched it on it worked.

I have a maytag washer that when it fills with water it wont drain out..the spin cycle just makes a noise and it wont do anything..any ideas what i can do to fix it thanks
