I washed a load that a student who lives with me put in and it was too heavy I believe. About the time it started to spin I heard it off balance and it stopped to rebalance itself. Obviously it couldn't because the clothes were wet when the load was done. I took about half the weight out and tried to rewash the load but still no spin out at all. Not sure what to do. I have this same problem. My washer will tumble slightly but won't go into to high rpm spin. It also didn't drain all of the water out. I see where the circuit board could be burned out, but that was suggested if the washer didn't spin at all. Are there two boards/mechanisms involved??? I have this same problem. I see that you are having trouble with your Frigidaire Affinity washer, model# ATF7000ES, not spinning your clothes dry. First, if the drum is not spinning at all, I suggest resetting your appliance by either unplugging it or shutting the power off at your home's circuit breaker for 2-3 minutes. Once power is restored run a spin only cycle. If it starts spinning and the clothes are still coming out damp, try one of the following:
1)Try changing the spin speed to a higher speed.
2)Make sure that you have not overloaded your washer.
3)Make sure that the wash load is not too small. If you are only washing a couple of items, try adding 1 or 2 similar items to balance the load.
4)Try rearranging the load to allow proper spinning.
5)Check the drain hose for any kinks. If it is kinked, straighten it.
If you are still having trouble with your washer spin drying, I suggest contacting your local authorized technician. Hope this helps.
There's an auxiliary switch in the door lock.switch assembly that is activated at the end of the wash cycle for the machine to advance to the spin cycle. The machine will NEVER advance to the spin cycle unless the auxiliary switch is activated as a safety feature to prevent the door from opening during a high-speed spin cycle that may result in physical injury. The drum tumbles back and forth while the machine control checks the auxiliary if activated but since it's not, the control will not command the motor speed control to spin the drum at high speed. These symptoms may indicate a faulty door lock/switch assembly and may need replacement. I would suspect a faulty motor control board. not much you can do to test it unfortunately, aside to replacing it and see if that fixes the problem, but definitely the best guess. Also known as a speed board.
I had the same problem listed above on my LTF2140ES3...the machine did
everything but do a final spin. In diagnostics I could do the final
spin and the machine kicked out an E43 which is the control board
error.
Following the advice here I changed the door latch first and the problem went away and the unit runs as it should.
You'll get "experts" who say that the unit would not spin at all if the
door latch was bad. I can tell you first hand that they are wrong.
Again the unit did all the normal tumbling but didn't do the high speed
final spin. Again, replacing the door latch fixed the problem. The door
latch is part number 131763245 (AP3886713)
The pressure switch or pressure switch tube could be blocked tricking the machine that it still has water in it therefore not advancing into 'spin mode'.
Or the electronic card could be faulty and require replacing.
