We have an Olympus Digital Voice Recorder VN-3100PC and it will not power up with new batteries installed correctly. When a power line is connected into the "PCI/F" connector it flashes "CHK" then stays showing "PC". I took the batteries out and it showed the same thing. I put the batteries back in and there was no change. Please help.

When the recorder is plugged into the pc, it will flash pc and be powered by the pc... but when the recorder is not plugged in, then the batteries are needed to power on

I have Olympus VN-3100PC Handheld Digital Voice Recorder but installed software have been loss because new window installation and now I have not any CD of install it, I need said software
With this particular model of recorder that functionality is not possible as when the recorder is connected to the computer it is not a USB Mass Storage Device. It will only files to be downloaded to the computer not uploaded back.
yes the above solution ie by pressing "STOP" button and "DISP/MENU" button at a time is solved my problem showing "ERR" in VN 2100PC olympus voice recorder
