50" sony wega blinks red at intervals of 3

the lamp door cover is not secured properly or the lamp is not inserted correctly. Thats what the 3 blinks is indicating.

Check the lamp door. It may also have a bad thermal fuse.

If you see standby red light blinking on Tv front with 3 seconds interval then count its blinks from pause to pause and let me know, its an error code.
And if TV does not even show standby light then check fuse in power supply that would be blew off for some reason, replace it.

4 times error shows that one or all 3 fans (cooling) are stop and need to be checked.

in this set 3 blinks means lamp cover not set properly but i think that your problem is your 6x red blinks that means you have a problem in the audio section in your set(missing a voltage) or a themal fuse open.

Try turning the tv off, then unplug the tv from the wall for at least 60secs. Plug it back in. Turn it on and see if the blinking has been reset to normal.
