It might also be the cpu fan make sure it has enough thermal paste underneath it try not to let it spill into cpu to check your temperature on each restart your pc on boot screen press whatever key on boot screen it says to enter setup then look for pc health on the setup screen look for cpu fan and power supply temperatures usually cpu operates around 30 to 50 degrees anything above that and its probably too high let it run for a while and keep an eye on both temperatures of cpu and power supply. You'll know then which fan needs replacing. Hope this helps. Sean

Which fan are you referring to? As far as I know the fan in the power supply runs at the same speed at all times. So if that is the fan you are hearing it may indicate that the power supply is failing. The power supply may be over heating and shutting down. I would try a different power supply if you can get your hands on one.

processor overheating. When it gets too hot it automatically shuts your pc down and boots it back up. Even if the fan is running, it could not be supplying enough cool air anymore.
