I have a Protron PLTV LCD 42"and hooked up a combo DVD/VCR it worked fine for a week then the VCR stopped working we have sound but the picture flips tried adjusting tracking with no luck unhooked combo hoooked up to another tv and vcr worked fine a comment in the manual for the combo said your TV may have a blocking recording thing which won't allow vcr viewing why did it work and then quit?

The Magnavox DV225MG9A manual Note: Connect this unit directly to yourTV. If RCA audio/video cables are connected to a vcr,picture may be distorted due to the copy protection system. But the DVD will still work in the DVD mode.

SOURCE: no sound

Look in your tv settings menu and see if the speakers are turned off there is an on/off setting in the menu..

Check ur speakers connections,check the board that have ribbons connections to speakers.Reset all tv modes to factory mode see what happen also?

SOURCE: I have no sound on my protron pltv 42 inch tv.

try hitting the mts button on the remote. this happens often here and 3 clicks of that button usually brings it back.

First place to look will be the power supply module, check the 5vdc standby voltage and all other voltages as well.

Hi, You may need a digital tuner to watch regular TV shows. (set top box) Your TV tuner may need also to be adjusted or repaired. Have a TV tech have a look at it. Good luck.

No sound on PLTV 4250

Easy! If you have a VCR,put a VHS tape in the VCR,run the video cable behind the TV and the audio cable from the VCR to a hi fi receiver/speaker(cd input or tape input.)
If you have sound coming out from the HI FI,go ahead and plug the audio connection along with the video connection behind the tv.If there is no sound, it could be:
A. your TV speaker is completed its mission-;o)Blown speaker.
B. you are on TV MUTE!
C. your audio cable is defective(small chance,cause you have left and right!)
D. your connection was incorrect.

I went through it to check up on your concern. It was mention in page 34.
