do you have the model number i know the door has to be open to see it,if not look at your paperwork or send a picture of dryer to see what model you have,there's just a plastic catch that holds the door closed so try lifting up and down on the door or with a screw driver and push on the handle,it should pop open,if it's a newer dryer here's a video on how to change the door around,just showing you this so you can see the parts on the door,there isn't anything electric to hold the door shut like a washer so you might have to get forceful with it

Unplug the unit for 10 minutes, then plug it back in. It should go to default settings. Consult you owners manual.

There is a sensor in the motor that detects heat. IT is either bad or the motor is getting hot.

the door activation switch is stuck in a open circuit and you have to remove the door itself to obtain access to replace!! the switch

There is a 'tech sheet' in the back pf the dryer. Unplug machine, Remove the access panel on the back to get to it. Reach in and it should be there. It will tell you how to do a button check. You have to enter a test mode through the buttons.
The E 61 is a stuck button.


Enter function test mode and perform key
stuck closed (active). (button) test to determine which button is at
fault. Carefully free the and perform the test
again. If button is free but the key struck code
still exists, replace electronic control.
