Wii fit weighin too light!

We got a wii fit for Christmas and it has suddenly started weighing about a stone too light! (Worked out by weighing myself on scales as well as on the wii fit!) It was stored stood up against a wall overnight just before this happened and im now wondering if that has caused the problem! Is there any way of rectifying this to make it weigh correctly again?

I have tried resetting individual miis but this hasnt worked.

Problem is that it weighed me too light and now it is calling me a heffer. I weighed myself three times this morning and got a 8 pound differential.

I would suggest that you ensure that the board is calibrated properly and that you don't step on it until directed to do so. I'm sure you're already doing this, because it won't let you go on without doing so.

The other solution I would offer is to change the batteries in the unit, and ensure that you are setting the Balance Board on a smooth, sturdy, and flat surface. If you are on shag carpet, it will not function properly. If you have average carpet, try using the little adapters that attach to the feet.

Remember that for the purposes of this program, the exact weight isn't what is most important, but relative weight. Any time you are tracking weight loss, be sure to mark your progress using the same scale. If you chart the Wii vs traditional scales, you should notice that the decrease is the same, regardless of what your starting point may happen to be.

Good luck!

I just read this and followed the advice to add the feet to the bottom. It worked like a charm, I was weighing in 35 lbs lower than normal! (I wish!)
Hope this helps you as well!

Wii board does not show correct weight, sometimes im a stone heavier or half a stone lighter my actual weight

The Wii balance board isn't known for being hugely accurate, I wouldn't pay too much attention to what it says your weight is.

I had the same problem myself. After nearly 40 mins of trying and trying the Wii fit board eventually synchronized with out the Wii remotes being affected. The main thing is to make sure you do not hold down the red button on Wii console for more than 10 seconds as this unsyns the remotes. Hope this helps

The only thing I can think of is that when you were moving, your wii got damaged.
I can only recommend sending it to nintendo to fix, or buying a new one. Only do these if someone else does not find a solution

Wii Fit Weighing Me Wrongly

You should probably put it on a board but if that doesn't work, you could try putting something weighing 12 pounds on the board or in your pockets or whatever.

Wii Fit Doesn't work

Do not stand on the Wii fit board until it says to. The board needs to reset itself before any tests are completed. For best accuracy, complete all the initial tests and follow the instructions to the letter.

I got wii fit the disk wont work !!!!!!

If Wii gives Disc Read Error, first step you need to check is to try another disc or clean the exisitng disc. This will confirm that problem is with either Wii or Disc. If the console itself is giving disc read error then it needs to be repaired. You may check out DIY Wii Fix Guide, that will show step by step information to fix the problem yourself. It also gives information on fixing many Wii Related Problems, so its a kind of Wii Problems Reference Fix Guide
