F51 is a RPS sensor code .The computer thinks the motor is drawing excessive current to rotate the basket. In repairing these units 8 out of 10 times their was no part failure, the problem was clothing got under the basket causing excess draw.Try taking your hand and spinning the basket it should rotate very smoothly and not have any dragging,if it hangs up at all you can easily remove the basket and get out the clothing that got in there.....
SOURCE: Kenmore 417. 4405200 Front Load Washer error code E43
It's a bad wax motor inside the door latch. The diagnostics are buggy and do not test it properly. It should measure about 1.5K ohms, and when 120 VAC is applied to it, it should extend in about a minute. Part number 12002535 is $10 to $15.
SOURCE: I have a F-01 fault code on my Kenmore HE2plus
Hi,
The F01 fault code is indicating an EEPROM error or a PUMP DRIVER error. A communication error between the Central Control Unit (CCU) and the EEPROM on board the CCU occurred.
Possible causes of an EEPROM error:
A power glitch may have caused this error. Unplug the power cord for 3 minutes then reconnect power.
Possible causes of PUMP DRIVER error:
The pump driver fails to activate. Replace the the CCU board.
Most likely the CCU board will need to be replaced.
Thank you !!
SOURCE: he3t won't start. Diagnostic test runs fine. no
It appears your timer/main controller/CCU has failed in this instance.
For replacement parts - head on over to PartSelect.com or RepairClinic.com and enter in your full model number for a full parts listing.
I recommend both sites because ...
FixYa has no affiliation with either site - I have been using and recommending them for years - trouble free.
PartSelect has a great schematic database for locating the part on your unit and great "testimonials" for each part that often times includes HOW-TO information.
RepairClinic has pictures of each part they sell and also a great how-to and troubleshooting for basic repairs.
If your unit has never been serviced - there should still be an original service manual enclosed in plastic taped to the inside of the shell.
In the service manual are Error codes, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting steps you can follow.
Anything too complicated or beyond your scope should be handled by a professional.
If you think you want to tackle the repair - and have gotten stuck on a step - reply to your question and I will be glad to help you out.
Thanks for using FixYa - a 4 THUMBS rating is appreciated for answering your FREE question!!!!!
