Mp3 problems I've spent many hours trying to add mp3s to this camera. I know the mp3s are on the SD card but when i open the MP3 player in the camera it can't find any files. Does anyone have any suggestions? i'm pretty much out of ideas at this point. This is meant to be easy. Is there something I am totally missing? I've read the manual VERY carefully but still nothing. Thanks JayShe

Cant add mps files to my camera???

  • Hookster Nov 10, 2007

I have the same problem. I have created a directory called 'MP3' and put my mp3s there. When I connect via the USB cable it tells me that the files are there, but when I disconnect and switch the camera on in MP3 mode it tells me there are no files.

Same here. It says connecting to computer but doesn't let me download. Why?

  • graves Dec 27, 2007

    NV3.

I went to windows explorer and set up my mp3 file under the removable disc folder but all i can do is transfer my files from my camera to my computer, not vice versa. Would it be because i am running windows vista? I have followed the instructions from manual.

Hi,, i had this problem and pondered for hours, theres no need to format, well in my case i didnt,

eventually i did this

1. plug camera into usb and turn on camera,
or put ur SD card into ur computer and open up my computer (you should se removable disk F) or if ur using SD card you will see and SD card icon,

2. i then found out that many mp3 files are restricted so i imported them into the my itunes libary, this changed all songs to the mp3 file,

3. back to the camera, double click the (removable disk F) and u will see DCIM on the same level as this creat and "MP3" folder, then click that and open it up.

4. go to ur itunes libary and drag and drop into this folder, once imported into the Mp3 folder, unplug ur camera or take the SD card out of the computer and place it back in.

5. turn ur camera on and spin the wheel to ps3 u will see an open icon open it and ur songs will be there

hope that helped

Hi guys, I think I have it. You need to format the memory card again - I do not know why but it worked for me.

I did lose everythingthing stored on my memory card so do download it to your PC first if you are afraid to lose it.

Check that your MP3 files are not copy protected - saw that comment elsewhere.

With the NV3 disconnected from the PC turn it on. You need to set your dial to AUTO. Press Menu button. Down to "Format" and select "yes". Once done press menu.

Assuming you already have an album of mp3 files ready .../album/*.mp3
where * is the filename you have chosen.

Connect your PC to the NV3 camera and turn on the NV3.

Next at the same level as DCIM create a folder named MP3 eg D:/DCIM and also D:/MP3

Copy your album with MP3 files into the MP3 directory creating D:/MP3/album/*.mp3

Turn off the NV3,disconnect the USB cable and turn the dial to MP3.

Turn on the NV3 and hopefully you will now find the tracks listed. I hope this works now for you too. Enjoy.

Create a directory called MP3 and add your mp3's under it. It should already have a DCIM directory there for the images.

Why won't my Sansa 250R won't recognize an sd card?

Your 4GB card is actually a microSDHC card. The e250 works with microSD cards, 2GB and smaller.

How do i get the player to read mp3s from an sd card?

It won't. However, if they're on a microSD card, then they need to be in a folder named "MUSIC". Videos and photos will need to be in the internal memory, the Sansa will not read them from a card.

I own the r451c which has an mp3 player, but when i insert the micro sd and go to music player, i get a prompt that says no mp3, what am doing wrong

You have to load mp3s on the micro SD card via the computer. To do it properly, you must place the mp3s in the folder that says My_Music which is located in the micro SD card. That folder is created once the micro SD card is first inserted into the phone.
I hope that helps.

Doesn't show mp3 files on micro sd card

You have to drag and drop only the MP3 files into the music folder. If you have them organized and in folder by artist, drag only the MP3s into the card's Music folder.

Does this camera store its mp3s on a memory card such as SD?

You can try this procedure:
Givens:
You have a card reader hooked to your windows machine that will read the card that was in the camera and
Your memory card is formatted in FAT or FAT32 (it probably was)
You have a Windows machine...

DO NOT TAKE ANY MORE PICTURES...

1. Download "freeundelete" from this location:
http://www.officerecovery.com/freeundelete/
2. Install the program.
3. Place memory card out of camera into computer, noting drive letter of the memory card.
4. Fire up the freeundelete software and point it at the drive letter of your memory card.
5. Recover what mp3s you can.

MP3 wont play in my LGkeybo

I have a Keybo 2 phone so I assume the procedure is the same for the first generation Keybo.

1) First of all, only MP3 format works, period. Don't waste time trying to load WMA or any other music format.

2) Get a micro SD card as this opens up other features of the media functions

3) Using the USB cable, connect your phone to the computer and there should be 2 file browsers that will show up: one for the internal memory and the other for the external memory (micro SD).

4) On the external memory browsing window you should find a MY MUSIC folder. Copy all your MP3 music files into this folder.

5) Unplug the USB cable and open your phone's music player. It will detect the new songs and build update the library.

There you go, you're all set! It took me a couple of hours of searching and tryouts but this works every time. Good listening!

Sansa mp3 player could not detect micro sd add on card

I believe you can fix it by going on the player, then to settings, then to USB mode, and switching it from MTP to MSC. If you're in MSC already and it fails to recognize, then I don't know. :(
