The blower motor stars, but it will not ignite.

The small inducer blower does come on but the furnace doesn't fire up. We've tried turning off the power switch and waiting several times. By the way this is a propane fueled furnace.

Many many thanks to both of you for your help, After many times of looking at this, he found thr problems. It was the orange tube. Thank you so much for saving us the cost of a repair visit. In todays economy, it was much appreciated.

coming from the induced draft motor is an orange or gray rubber tube leading to a switch pull the end off that is connected to motor and poke a wire or something to insure the hole is not blocked if it is not replace the hose. next step is to check the switch make sure if possible try to jumper 2 wires and turn unit back on if it works then either switch is bad or vent piping is blocked.. For your extreme Safety, Please Do Use Furnace in this condition until problem is fixed. thanks

Need more. Are you saying the main blower or the small inducer blower comes on. What kind of igniter spark or hot surface(glow coil). Have tried resetting the furnace by turning off the power switch for a few seconds?

Again is this a spark or a glow coil? If it is a glow coil look at the coil and see if there is a crack or white spot on it. If so it needs to be replaced.

Ruud achiever 90 plus furnace will not start with door on.

I would try to check your return air first, making sure there is no blockage and that your air filters are clean. It almost sounds like when you take the cover off, you are pulling enough air into the system for it to run, but as soon as you close it off, it's not getting enough air flow, therefore, tripping a limit switch inside the furnace. Most furnaces will also have the codes for the flashing lights and what they mean on the inside of the door covers.

My Ruud Achiever 90 Plus not blowing cooled air

Look on the condensor, (outdoor unit) at the very bottom of the rear panel and you should find a red reset button. push it. If that does not solve the problem, and the outdoor unit is running (make sure both the fan AND the compressor are running) then you are looking at a low refridgerant issue and possibly dirty coils.

In that case, clean the coils and have refridgerant added.

Ruud achiever 90 plus blower not working

does the furnace ignite?? your system may not have been lighting and has gone into ignition lockout count the codes of the led lights then remove panel led diagnostic codes are listed there.
if led codes indicate no problem verify capacitor is good and that mtr is getting 115 volts.
