Mitsubishi CS-31505 TV - UN-memorize QV (Quick View) Channel?

QV (Quick View) option on Mitsubishi CS-31505 TV allows user to memorize one (1) channel, providing the ability to change back to that memorized channel after viewing a different channel.

However there appears to be NO option to UN-memorize that one (1) channel - - other than to replace it with another channel. (The Manual simply states: "The memorized channel will remain the same until you use the procedure above to select a new channel.")

Is there some way to restore that QV function back to FACTORY DEFAULT - - so there is NO memorized channel?

I ask because, prior to recently making the mistake of memorizing one QV channel, I was able to use the QV to go back-and-forth between ANY 2 channels. Now I cannot do so.

This is not to be confused with Super Quick View (SQV) which allows the user to add/delete/change up to 10 channels.

I would appreciate any assistance with this issue.
Thanks,
DWL

I've learned from a Mitsu tech that there is indeed NO easy (nor logical & user-friendly) way to UN-memorize a QV channel.

However there IS a work-around to accomplish that so that the QV will revert back to its Factory Setting of "Last Channel Recall."

Using the Mitsu remote control:

1. Poke the Menu button.
2. On the Menu, select the "Add/Delete Channels."
3. Select the Antenna (A or B or whichever) and select the channel which was memorized in QV.
4. When that memorized channel number appears, select "Delete."
5. Poke the Menu button again to exit.

The QV memorized channel number is now gone, restoring the QV function to "Last Channel Recall."

NOTE: If that particular deleted memorized channel was also included among the SQV (Super Quick View) channels, it can then be added back into SQV using the Menu and SQV option.

Hope the above helps those who have encountered the same issue.

What is the code to unlock my mitsubishi CS-31303 tv?

Mitsubishi sets use a four-digit code for a V-Chip locked program, view a locked TV, cancel the lock, or to enter the V-Chip lock menus. You can view the locked shows on the TV set by pressing the number 9 and QV buttons on the remote at the same time, whenever your code is requested. This process temporarily unlocks the TV and asks you to enter a new code.

I locked my tv because of kids and now i dont remember the passcode

I can only assume that you are not the kids trying to get into the set.
You must have the original Mitsubishi remote control to perform this operation on the set. Look on the remote for a button that is labeled QV (Quick View), if you have this button on the remote then we can press on. Go to the selected channel or input that is asking for the unlock code. When it asks for the code, press the QV button: Holding it down press the number 9 and release. This will unlock the set for this instance. To remove the code I suggest that you go through the setup menu and find the code lock and when it asks for the code use the QV+9 trick again to turn it off from the main menu.

If you do not have the original Mitsubishi remote you will not be able to try this trick. You will have to order a replacement remote from 1-800-REMOTES or www.remotes.com.
Once you have the replacement remote you can unlock the television and be back on your way.

I hope that this helps you with your television lock issues and as always, Thank you for using FixYa.

I bought a Mitsubishi HD1080 Medallion series 55" tv back in 2003. I just recieved my new upgrade Direct tv reciever box. Now my tv screen says it has been locked and I need a passcode to un locke it? I...

On your Mitsubishi remote you will have a QV (Quick View) button. When the television asks for the code, just press and hold the QV and then number 9 button at the same time and it will unlock the set.
I would also go into the main menu and remove the code using the same procedure.

I hope that this helps you resolve your issue.

Parental control code lock tv

I am not sure if this works for your model, but if you have the original remote, turn the TV on, point the remote at the TV and press the "QV" (quick view) and the "9" buttons at the same time. Let me know if that works.

Tv lock because of parental code

You will need an original remote control, which you can order online. With the original remote, turn the TV on, point the remote at the TV and press the "QV" (quick view) and the "9" buttons at the same time.
