I bought a Bernina 910 sewing machine at a school surplus auction. The metal bed that came with it has the number 301 130 00 embossed on it. It doesn't seem to fit my machine. It has a sort of stirrup on the base that moves a little. I am wondering what the correct model number of the table would be and where I would get one. Bernina's website is no help.
Hi Phoebe,
What you have is the extension table for the 830 and the 830E Bernina models. What you need is part number 301 276 100. This table looks a little different as it has a small see-through window in the bobbin area and also, it has no clamp (it has push-in pins). Ebay or a site like SewItsForSale is your best bet. I doubt the dealer could get one but if they could, it'd be likely around $100.
Hey Phoebe, you're welcome. Tell the auction folks to ask if anyone got a table with a see-through window in it (it's not glass...a bit of plexiglass, I reckon). What kinda foot pedal did ya get (number stamped on bottom)? I've got a 910 too. We could chat if there was a way to email outta this site. I'm new here and haven't figured it out yet.
Very wise! I'd never try to run a machine without cleaning it up/oiling and warming it and making sure all systems are free. I did some checking and believe all 910s should have the 366 footpedal. This gives you the very desirable needle up/down feature. Squeeze the narrow end of the footpedal (the bit nearest you) and it brings the needle down, squeeze it again and the needle goes up. Soooo handy when you're doing applique or lots of turning with your fabric.
You don't really need the extension table. Sad to say, they are difficult to find as the 830 tables are much more common. You're probably in there for the long haul. I'd look in garage sales for cheap formica sewing tables (seems half the sales in my area have one!). Most have a cut-out and you can easily place the free arm of the machine in the cut-out and achieve the same thing. It's a pain to remove the ext. table for every bobbin change.
I didn't get the manual with mine, which is a pain as the BerninaUSA site doesn't have a download.

Thank you so much! I will try eBay. I figured going through Bernina to try to get info was a lost cause. I will write the auction people again to see if anyone got the wrong table and exchange with them if possible. I know they must be frustrated trying to fit a 910 table on an 830 which is what the other machines were in the auction. Thanks again!
I did contact the auction folks. Another person got the wrong foot pedal for her 830. They are very nice but said that was what previews are about. I did preview the machine but didn't have the nerve to try to plug it in as it was in a cold building with tons of other stuff around it. I will sell my extension table for the 830 on eBay, I guess. I haven't found one yet on any website but I appreciate the info. I am going to have to download a copy of the manual as that wasn't with it either. As for the foot pedal, I already took the machien to store it for awhile but it does fit fine.
