The original V3 does not a memory slot. Later versions, like the V3i do have a slot per Marisha's description.

Flip your phone over. Take the cover off. Unseat the battery (you do this by pushing down and pulling forward) To the right of the center, you till see a small slot. The card goes metal teeth toward the phone and down. Watch you don't damage the little lever on the left side. When this is seeded tightly, put the battery back in, clip the cover on and turn the phone on. You will then be able to use your memory. If you are trying to use it for pictures, click on the picture of the camera. When it says "My piz" in the left hand corner, click the left - button to load the pictures. Chose a picture. Click "move". The phone will ask you if you want to move the picture to the card. Click yes. A "C" will appear on the face of all pictures you move to the card. You can then take the card out and put it in the bigger container (about the size of a camera memory chip). Put that container in a card reader which you hook via USB port to your computer and you will be able to transfer the pictures to your PC.

The motorola RAZR V3 does not have a removalbe memory card. From a site doing a review on the RAZR: "It has no removable memory card. It has just over 5MB of internal memory that is shared between the phone book, ring tunes, pictures and video clips, and downloaded files and programs. This can quickly fill to overflowing. " The full review can be read here: http://www.thetravelinsider.info/phones/motorolarazrv3review.htm

Installing a 2GB PNY Micro SD Card

Hello,

Only the Sprint version of this phone supports memory cards over 1 Gigabyte. Sorry. But if you have a Sprint phone comment back to me using the comment box below. Thanks.

If you don't have a Sprint phone you need to acquire a 1GB card and use that. Hold on to your 2GB card as it will be usable when you upgrade at the end of your contract period.

Razor memory card

The memory card goes next to the battery. if you take the battery cover off and take off the battery then you will see a little slot located at the center of the phone on the back. you can only put the memory card in if the battery is off.

Update V3T digital audio player

Sometimes its a size limit issue. I know my phone does freeze up or restart with either too many programs using up the memory or too many songs, pictures, etc. on there. Try removing some on there. If that fixes the problem them you are in the clear. If not, then there might be something internal going wrong with your set. Possibly a defective card reader..
