If it does not advance and just beeps it is not receiving a signal. Check Cabling. If it prints blank you may have a disconnect print head cable inside.

The auto save facility is not enabled if u press PrtSc , after pressing this key, go to MS Paint and press Ctrl+V if there appears your printed screen ,, then its done....
We are going to attempt to do a "power purge" to get rid of any clogged ink nozzles. Note, this will probably eat up about half of your ink, but that is the price you must pay in order to attempt to fix this bad boy.
1) Get into maintenance mode. Press these keys: Menu -> Black Start -> Scan x4 (hit it four times). A number pad should come up. If not, do it again.
2) Hit key 7, then key 6.
3) Press the right key until you get to "CLEANING BLACK."
4) Press 3.
5) Press Black Start.
After it purges and gets back to the main maintenance screen, press keys 9 and 9.
Let your printer start back up. If this does not work, try the above steps up to three times. If it does not work then, you need a new print head, which is not a user-replaceable part on this model.
After you replace developer, press #, interrupt, c , interrupt keys in that order. Display will go off, press 42 print 01 print for developer reset. Press Interrupt key twice and press 20 print 01 print for serviceman reset. Press CA key .
I had the same problem and found out that I had to press the "F Lock" key first. I have no idea what F Lock is or who ever pushed it...but now print screen works the way I was accustomed to. Go Figure
After you press print scr, it won't print to printer, you need to paste it in application such as paint (come with ms windows) and from there you can print it to printer.

To answer more effectively - how is the printer connected to the iMac? Is it a USB connection, a printer cable, is the MFC 6800 connected to a print server, an AirPor, etc? A second question I have is if you are trying any kind of tricky printing such as manualduplex printing.
Also, a shot in the dark...Is the Auto Reduction set to on or off? To check: 1. Press MENU/SET, 2 (Fax), 1 (Setup Receive), then 4 (Auto Reduction).
2. Press the up or down navigation key (keys located above and below the MENU/SET key) until the display shows "Reduction: ON?".
3. Press MENU/SET.
4. Press STOP/EXIT.
Another item to keep in mind: You can use three sizes of paper for printing your faxes and copies---letter, legal and A4. When you change the size of paper you ha ve loaded in the Brother machine, you need to change the setting for the paper size so your Brother machine can fit the incoming fax on the page. To set the Paper Size:
1. Press MENU/SET, 1 (General Setup), then 1 (Paper Size).
2. Press the up or down navigation key to select LETTER, LEGAL, or A4.
