The TV is 20 months old, about 1 month ago the TV started immediately turning off after being turned on. Any thoughts? Maybe a power supply issue?
Its correct, Sony is no more selling plasma and I think many companies has already shut plasma production and CRT TV as well.
All TV manufacturers are busy in LCD TVs.
Well apparently it seems power supply board problem so I would recommend to have service / repair manual of same model for further test n check.
Service manual will cost you 35 and available in Manual Zone.

Thank you for the reply. I am currently considering buying the TV off Craigs list so I don't have actual experience wiith the issue, just what I have been told. The exact model # is KE-50xs910. His exact words to describe the problem are 'TV turn on 1 second and turn off that all' When I talked with him he said it just won't turn on any more and this started a month ago. For $200 bucks it may be worth a look.
It looks like Sony doesn't sell Plasma TV's anymore. Can you confirm that?
More details on the issue, The owner stated that the TV sometimes stays on for 1 to 5 minutes and then turns off. The red standby light turns to green when he turns on the TV. Then it turns off and all the lights go dark, no blinking, no red standby light. If he unplugs it for a while the red standby comes back and the issue repeats.
