Reprogram the remote: turn ignition on, press and release valet switch one time. Press and hold valet switch. While holding valet switch, press lock button on remote. The alarm should chirp to confirm entry into the programming mode (when you press and hold the valet button) and when you press the lock button. Turn ignition off. Test remote.
The parking light flashes are a diagnostic report to alert you to the reason the remote starter is not working:
5 flashes; brake wire is active
6 flashes; hood pin is active
7 flashes; manual transmission mode is enabled and not initialized
8 flashes; neutral safety wire has no ground or the switch is OFF.
Count the flashes and you will be able to go directly to the problem. Enjoy.
My battery ran low and I jump started my car which some how caused the problem. My viper technician made me a buy new remote but the problem continued even with the new remote. Try disconnecting the battery of your car for ten minutes and then reconnecting it. It worked for me. Now i have a extra remote which i don't need.
this usually means that the remote did not recieve a signal back from the module or the module did not recieve the remote signal
have you tried repeatively to press the unlock button? does the remote starter work or aux( trunk ) ?
also when putting the battery in the remote , be easy because there is a connector plug soldered on the board real close to where the battery is , and if it is hit by the battery hard enough it will cause those solder connections to disconnect and you will get the beeps and or other malfunctions
Let's hopethat the installer actually put in the valet switch for the Viper! Lcate the valet switch. ALWAYS put mine down by the e-brake lever under dash. (I assume that the alarm is going off? If not, go to next step.
Find the alarm/start brain under dash. Unplug main 6 pin 12 gauge wire harness. Wait 5 minutes, then re-appy the power plug. Alarm "may" go off, then try again.
That means that your remote is not receiving a signal from the remote starter. That's a two-way unit designed to transmit(tx) and receive(rx) signals to and from the antenna or brain. If it doesn't do either one, the remote will give you three triple beeps.
email me at [email protected] and i will give them to you. i 've been doing install professionally for 10 yrs and have access to directechs (DEI technician website)
This may be a problem with wiring. I will need to know what the make and model is of the car. Also keyless entry system stock OEM or was that an option you have added? Lastly, did you install this system or was this installed by a cetified DEI corperation?
Reactivate viper remote starter
blue light wont come on
