I was trying to set up my sony bdp bx320 dvd on my at&t network with a mvg510. The menue said I should pressthe wps button to continue.

You set up WPS by providing a key that you can use between the router and a connecting device. It adds all the details of your security without having to enter it manually. On the Motorola router, it looks like you just set it up in the router and turn it on. On the connecting device you enter the WPS key and then connect.
Here is a link to the router manual. I think if you look around in the router setup menus you'll find a place to configure WPS. Page 39 of the manual. http://www.ron-berman.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/nvg510manual.pdf

HOW DO I TURN ON UPNP ON MOTOROLA NVG510 MODEM

To acess your routers/modem configuration page do this. Open Internet browser. Be sure your connected via wired or wifi to the internet using the Motorola connection. Type in 192.168.0.1 and hit search or enter. You should see a Motorola login page. The factory log in info is "admin" for the username, and "motorola" is the password. Hit log in after entering that. You should be seeing now the settings for everything. At the top click "Advanced" then find where it says Enable UPNP and checkmark the box. Be sure to press save before exiting. Beware of messing around with other setting if you don't know what your doing because it will cause headache. Hope this works. It is how I've configured any Motorola access point I've had. If not, contact your ISP for help.

Try to upgrade the firmware of the router.
Is there any computer connected to the router with the cable.
If not then you will need to connect the computer to the router.
Download the firmware of the router from the manufacturer's website.
enter the model number. select proper version number and download the firmware of the router.
Once you download the firmware, you will need to open the router set up and upgrade the firmware of the router.

LOST MY INSTALATION DISK

Go to this URL:
http://broadband.motorola.com/consumers/support/default.asp?supportSection=DiscontinuedProducts
Right near the bottom of the page is the WR850G documents, drivers, etc. (might be an idea to let the page load, and then do a CTRL+F to get your find box, and type in 850... there are a couple of 850's on that page, the 850GP and the 850G, so be careful which one you look at :)

Hope that helps!

I need to change my Strict Nat settings on my Motorola 3347series

you will have to look in the manual of router. usually 192.168.1.1 is the default ip address for managing router settings from browser. just type the address in browser and login with default username and password if you have not changed it. once the router settings page open up you can then look up the NAT settings there.

Motorola WR850G wireless router - what is a security key or pass phrase that I am being asked to provide? Verizon has no clue. Thank you. Russ

Check this manual and look at the installation part. It will tell you how to reach to your Wireless Security page. That is where you would find your key or pass phrase.
