Need to know how to re-set the anti-flood device

Hi, We have a AEG OKO Favorit 6040 dishwasher. We had a small blockage in our kitchen sink this week. The drain pipe for the dishwasher is connected to this drainage system. I think the dishwasher Anti-flood device has kicked in which is good as we have n't suffered any flooding.

We have cleared the blockage but I am not sure how to reset the floater switch. Unfortunately I am living in rural France so I need to resolve the problem myself.

Many Thanks for your assistance.

Steve

I managed to clean the filter inside the dishwasher and drain a little residual water. I then re-plugged in the appliance and the anti-flood device seemed to reset and I have n't had any problems since.

Activated Anti-flooding system, means water leakage in the buttom of dishwasher. Could be also: faulty Anti-flooding microswitch, floating sensor (styrofoam) blocked mechanically, wiring diagram, electronic.

Hello. When the water does not completely drain away, it usually means that there is a partial blockage in one of these areas:

1. The small drain pump located under the tub, accessable by removing the lower front panel.
2. The drain line going from the DW pump to the plumbing under the kitchen sink.
3. The garbage disposal, or the trap under the sink.

Check these out and you will find a chunk of bone, or glass or some other debris which is partially blocking the draining action. J.

Anti flood system triggered that puts the machiene in pump out mode. This machiene has a poor quality "Y" pipe at the bottom that is prone to pin holes in the pipe due to poor quality and extremely thin. The pin holes cause a small amount of water to activate the Anti flood micro switch on the polystireen float at the bottom of the washer.

This sounds like the anti flood system has triggered. This does put the washer on a pump out mode and the outlet pump runs all the time. The trigger device is a polystireene slab in plastic bracket with miro switch at the bottom of the washer. Dry the bottom out and check for water leaks (hose clamp / hose) and this should solve the problem.

I assume that this leak is from the flat tank on the side of the machiene. Any water leak to the bottom of the machiene puts the washer in ANTI FLOOD mode with the pump out motor activated. You can remove the flat tank by disconnecting the hoses to it and pulling it upwards. If you find a small leak just run it over with a hot soldering iron to melt closed the small leak. Also note that this tank has a small outlet pipe that deliberatly discharges water to the anti flood device (polystireen float / micro switch at the base of washer) in case of a fault (blocked pipe / leak etc).

This seems like the anti flood system (polystireen float / micro switch) at the base of the washer is triggered,\. This puts the washer in pump out mode and stops inlet of water via the inlet solinoid. Dry the water on the base and then check for any water leaks. (pipe leak
